Good luck. The last time I tried getting a harness from a Tundra it was impossible because no scrap yards had Tundras in inventory. Apparently they aren't popular enough.

Not sure what Toyota's logic was with using the Instrument Cluster to drive the turn signals and trailer lights, they did the same thing on the 3rd gen Tacoma's.

@txdm9383 it's my understanding that it is supposed to shut down the driver if there is an overcurrent event but that obviously didn't happen. Lots of manufacturers have been doing this for decades. Enhanced diagnostic features, lamp out messages on dash etc. Circuit does not require a 30 amp fuse though in my opinion.

@@PhillipBailey Yea that's often the idea, doesn't always work that way in the real world though. In any case usually high current circuits run through either a dedicated module or the Body Control Module and trailer circuits (especially on trucks) are almost always run through dedicated fuses and relays. Toyota is the first one I've seen that uses the cluster to power trailer lighting on a truck, just seems like a very bad idea. We all know how reliable wiring on trailers is.😂

@txdm9383 if it were mine I'd be inclined to add a couple relays to the circuits for the trailer brake and turn signals. Replacing the 30 amp fuses with 15 amp is my recommendation

Honda. There are not many Suzuki since they left Canada 10 years ago.

This is awful! Some enterprising person should make an intermediate fused connector module that goes between the bumper connector and trailers with circuit breakers.
