I have a 2020 Trek Domane SL5 and I will say it is easily one of the most comfortable bikes I own. I was even shocked that stock seat was not that bad. Thanks for the video and the mention of the max tire size for both mechanical and electronic shifting setups.

We learnt the hard way about the electronic max tire size here! Great bike otherwise, it's just so capable

@@goodluckchrisclark I'm still on the fence about electronic shifting. The manufactures and engineers are getting better and better with making mechanical shifting smoother and more prissiest, and it's one less battery to have to worry about.

I bought the 2020 Trek Damone SL5, red color last Nov when it first was available in my area. it is my first carbon road bike. i was doing gravel rides on my Trek hybrid and once i started doing roadway charity rides i needed to up my game. after lots of research i decided on the Trek Damone. I have only put about 60 miles on it so far, waiting for better weather but i cannot be happier! it looks awesome, it is very comfortable and really fast compared to my hybrid. i am looking forward to many more rides this year! i would recommend this bike to anyone especially if buying your first road bike.

can i do a gravel riding on it ? i want to buy one but Im thinkning of Specialized diverrge comp E5 but i really like the Trek Donain 5 desgin and Im not sure it supports gravel riding whats your opinon ?

@@qusayalghazali941 I’ve done gravel riding with the stock tires. 32c tires. But if you want a bigger tire, it can accommodate that tire.

I’m waiting for my TREK dealer to get the Domane SL5 in stock. You make good videos - however 😖 this overlay music is TOO loud and I find that annoying. Cheers 🍻

what is the weight of the 5, 6, and 7 domane? trek web page says the domane can fit up to 38 tire, what is the tire size you show at the end of the vid? and which domane was that? thanks

All around the 22lb mark getting pretty close to 19 in the 7. Depending on the model 38c is the biggest we have squeezed a 40 on but under pressure it rubbed the front derailleur. 38 is big enough even for gravel

Will it work with the di2 system to put gravel tires ? What tire do you recommend?

We've seen mixed options, 38 in bontrager tires fit but other brands 40 fits

Heck yes! Switch to a 38 Gravel tire and these bikes are amazing, we have many guys here using this. Get some frame protection too
