Very strange that is the old model here in europe . Allready 3 years we have new one

Volkswagen thinks the new one won't be cost effective enough for India so we continue with the fifth gen Polo. Plus, we have a rule here which requires cars like the Polo to be under 4m in length. Otherwise, it'll be taxed higher making the price uncompetitive. And as far as I know, the sixth gen Polo you have in Europe is around 4.2m long

I have a question, Does it feel lazy in city in lower revs?
@dhruvsaxena71554 жыл бұрын
To be exact, you get all of the 175Nm of torque from 1,750rpm. So, if you're going to keep the engine under 2,000rpm roughly it'll feel lazy! For best results keep it on the boil 😁

I have driven the car. I wouldn't say that it is lazy. Power is available at the tap of the foot, you just have to be in the right gear.

How long have you guys been reviewing cars ? Does not looks for too long. I you look at ford figo diesel it absolutely nails this one down. And you are comparing Polo to Grand I10 Nios. OMG.

Fair point. A Figo diesel might out accelerate the Polo. We'll know for certain once we get the two together and hook our Vbox up. Mentioned the Grand i10 Nios since that's the only other car available with a Turbo petrol. And based on the fact that the Aura with the same engine does 0-100 in 9.7s, it would be fair to assume that the Nios will be just as quick, if not quicker. Also, in terms of handling, steering feel, etc I think the Polo is better than the Figo.

shame , WTF is VW India thinking? this car is so old compared to the POLO in Europe!

Fair point. And immediate focus is on SUVs so new Polo not coming anytime soon
