Easier when you take the front wheel off I switched my fluid to a slightly heavier weight but this seems like it's the real fix. Good video. 👍

Hey Mike, I am thinking about doing this as I am bottoming out the forks. What oil weight did you go to? Was it a big enough difference or did you still want to change the springs. I'm trying to decide whether to do 20 weight oil or do springs and oil. I'm 200 lbs.
@mikecostello96712 жыл бұрын
@@allanwrench honestly I would get heavier springs if anything the heavier oil makes it a little stiffer just changes the dampening a bit. The guy down here in south jersey did my rm125 shocks he said he can get me springs made so I would assume they are available. Good luck! Fun bikes.

how long did this take to do? thinking about doing a suspension upgrade as well for my 2024 ttr 230
@HamRadio2002 жыл бұрын
Doing race tech cartridge emulators and springs on my 2021 TTR230 this weekend. They have no listing for MY 2021, but I'm gonna take a chance that the 2017 is the same; I'm almost certain that it is. Wish me luck.

Sweet video, did you see a huge improvement to a heavier spring set on rougher trails?
@allanwrench2 жыл бұрын
Awesome! This video is exactly what I needed to figure out how to do this myself! Do you reuse the same circlips?
@RidingwithDylan2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can reuse them, you just want to take them out nicely, otherwise if you over or under stretch them technically there a little weaker and should be replaced, You most likely don’t need to replace them.🤟

Do you have the part number and rate? .42 or .44?
@DEAD-LAST2 жыл бұрын
Could that not have been done without removing the forks?
@redtobertshateshandles2 жыл бұрын
No, because there aren't any oil drain screws. He should have taken the front wheel off and done them one at a time.
@RidingwithDylan2 жыл бұрын
Yes!, I just take the wheel off because i thought it would be lighter also it’s kind of annoying when your working with it standing on the wheel because it wants to roll or do circular motion stuff, but yea your right you can definitely do it like that.🤟

Hey I just got the 2o22 TTR 230 and I contacted canyon race craft to get bigger springs but they want me to measure inside and outside diameter of for and the length. Did you have to do that? I thought the 2020-2022 were identical as far as suspension goes
@RidingwithDylan2 жыл бұрын
Hey Christine! When I called them up, I did not, I believe that all would be the same, I literally told them my year make and model and the kind of bike and how much I weigh, and that’s how they hooked me up..
