850 is a great machine unless you live out west. Here back east in the woods its a beast. I have a 2019 and have the same opinion. For the price and the reliability of Yamaha, power steering is perfect, parking brake, locking differential, quiet in the cab, just an awesome machine!

Finally someone makes a video not 20 min long just get ad revenue Good to the point video... I seriously considered one of these in a x2 or four seater x4 adding to the fleet for party bus. Have a pretty heavily modified 19 yxz and love it but really need add sport ute to work with and when I don’t want all out trial blazing. Was set on this or x4 then damn rmax came out 😂. Either way def a Yamaha for the win. Power is my only concern on this. Adequate I think but again now with rmax Out I’m stuck...question is is 39hp worth an extra $6k? Would yo I still choose this if both were available at time of purchase? Hearing awesome things about the rmax. Good video def want do some riding in Maine!
@unclerobb99413 жыл бұрын
The rmax is bad ass. But honestly for the price, I wouldn't change my decision. The xtr does 55mph stock. With a tuner and clutch sheath they claim over 60.

Only thing i don’t like about the wolverine is it’s a pia to change the belt you have to remove almost the whole interior and yes i know about the 10 year warranty. I’ve also heard of people breaking the belt well before that . i was looking at buying a used one now not so sure especially if you blow belt out on the trail

I was going to wait two years and get the rmax but I like the x2 for my needs . I like the 2021 even better with the minor changes they made . I will be getting one hopefully in a year. How is the power ? Adequate or boring after a while ? I had a wildcat x in Idaho but I want something more suited for the woods in Alabama . I am thinking the new x2 will be the perfect machine.

I just put a down payment on the exact machine 14k OTD which is a screaming deal here in Cali. Thanks for the review. You said you'd start with the pros first and then the video ended with no cons.. that's a good sign! Like you I've researched the shit out of it. Have you come up with any dislikes yet? All I hear is the door latch makes it hard to get in and out and top speed only 55... I'm a dihard yamaha guy because I love reliability.
@unclerobb99413 жыл бұрын
Yeah you're absolutely right. Lol. I completely forgot to say the cons. 1 getting in and out is a pain. But you get use to it. And thebonlynother thing I don't like is the center console and glove box seem cheap... for the money they charge for these rigs they could make them a little more heavy duty with a waterproof gasket. But honestly those are my only complaints.
@scarab97623 жыл бұрын
@@unclerobb9941 I hear that. They make a great machine only to cut corners on some basic features. It's like building a custom home and putting on cheap doors and vinyl flooring.. At least they put their main focus on performance. Thanks again for the review! 👍🏼

The kawi is a little slower. And a little louder in the cab. Also check out the skid plates on both. Kawi is plastic. Yamaha is a solid plate of steel under the whole rig. The Kawasaki is a great machine. But I looked at both. And I don't think you can beat the wolvy for the money.

It's not bad. Tons of low end grunt for working/hauling. Low range is amazing. Top end is less then exhilarating. Tops out at 55. But its bone stock. I've heard with a tune, clutch work and exhaust you can get into the mid 60s.

@@unclerobb9941 A locked rear end is fine on a 600 pound quad but a UTV that weighs close on a ton that doesn't have one is a bit ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. Especially give the increased legal use of UTVs on hard surface streets. My current rig has an unlocking rear end and I can tell you, it greatly increases high speed handling. I'm not talking one wheel drive where one of the wheels disconnects, I'm talking about an actual differential gear like your car or truck has. Don't knock it until you try it.
@unclerobb99412 жыл бұрын
Cables and springs fail. Look it up on the honda pioneer forums. I'm not interested in riding on pavement. No need to unlock my rear end.
@ih3022 жыл бұрын
@@unclerobb9941 Honda is the only one that uses cables, everyone else uses solenoids. In an already complex machine, the additional parts for a locking rear differential are statistically irrelevant in my opinion. Your mileage may vary.
