I’ve been riding my entire life. Wear your gear because you will need it. I’m really not a gear Nazi. There’s been many times where I’ve hopped on the bike with shorts and tennis shoes but trust me, you’ll appreciate wearing full gear when it saves your ass

The fact that it can keep up reasonably with his Mustang is impressive for such a small and light bike. I’ve been riding for 15 years, rode plenty of 750cc-1600cc bikes, Harleys and Ducati’s and Honda’s and Suzuki’s and this is my next bike for sure. Just a simple, commuter/grocery/occasional backroad twisty on the weekend. The R6 was just too much bike every day IMO feels like having a Ferrari but have only dirt roads and parking lots to ride in. Great vid, i’ve watched it a few times already.

Hey Ben, thanks for the view. I have been told by some to wear more gear, and they have their points. When I am on short rides, I wear what I need to wear depending on where I am going. But, when I am on long rides, I wear all protective gear no matter what. Just my personal preferences and risk comfortability.

@blackbirdrides3098
@blackbirdrides3098 4 жыл бұрын
Ultimately, they’re very similar so it just comes down to personal preference. However, if buying new, the ninja 400 is comparable in price to the R3.
@MicheleAdventues
@MicheleAdventues 4 жыл бұрын
I would take a seat on both and see how you like how it fits you they are quite close in how good they are. there is also a good aftermarket for both and I think the ninja 400 is also allowed in the same race category as the R3 if you ever wanted to make it a race bike later on.

Unless he wants to take it on the highway. Most states require it to be 250cc and up to be legal on the highway. I think 300cc is a good starting point for most people. I have seen a few reviews of this thing and it has pretty smooth power output and doesn't pull hard enough to lift the front wheel off the ground or break the rear tire loose unless try hard. I think the most important thing would be does the bike fit you.

Hey Mike, we are aware that the manufacturer recommends the break in but, it is just that - a recommendation. Bike is up, running smoothly, and has no hiccups so I would not say we/I ruined it. I appreciate the comment, the view and feedback though! I will definitely take this into account when I buy another new bike/vehicle.

Older bikes, break in period was critical. Today, no. Many people have actually found a hard break in is best to seat the rings good.
@blackbirdrides3098

Just a bit of clarification for y'all here, the owner's manual says to avoid prolonged periods above these specific RPMs (6300 and 7000), not to avoid it completely. Literally all it says in regards to the RPM. I think I was not in those ranges for a "prolonged" period...so everyone is right?
@blackbirdrides3098
@blackbirdrides3098 4 жыл бұрын
@@blueforest4589 I never said it wasn’t important, I said it was a risk we were willing to take. Even with that, it says “prolonged periods above...”. Also not my bike and the owner is completely okay with that.
