For you knowledge the tiny jerkiness of the throttle is mainly due to the fueling map installed to conform with euro 5 regulations. With a simple flash of the ecu (no need for a full exhaust system or sport air filter) you will get back a fluid throttle control, even at lower rpms. A sensible improvement in the horsepower to the wheel will also be achieved. The old stock Aprilias were kinda muted too, but the euro 5 one suffers it the most.

@@yammienoob i would happily hear your feedback about it, it could be a nice subject to discuss in a video, since it’s not only the case with Aprilia, but with most producers. The streetfighter v4 too, for exemple, is know to change into a way better fuelled bike with a flash of the ecu.

I’m not sure I would classify it as a naked bike? It has substantial fairing cover on the sides and the front isn’t ugly. If we’re going to call it a naked bike - it’s the only good looking one I’ve even seen and the only one I would buy.

to change the suspension modes isnt the same as changing riding modes. hitting the starter button will change riding mode which is throttle response and engine breaking. when stopped go to the ascs settings(aprilia suspension control sytems) and you have 3 custom modes that are fully adjustable and 3 preinstalled modes asc1 is designed for rough roads and streets, then asc2 is stiffer but still for the streets during ideal weather conditions. and asc3 is for track, super stiff, designed to be used during optimum weather conditions and road traction

Ive always asked myself why the tuonos get called nakeds when they almost look identical to the supersport versions of em. Compare an r1 to an mt10. Completely different bikes. Proper naked bike aswell the mt10.

Cheers. But try a S1000RR M pack, it's near hypernaked comfy (heated grips, electronic suspension, shiftcam lower rpm torque, etc in a quicker and faster bike than the hypernakeds listed before and you get SW Motech tailbags for it that can hold helmets). What are you currently riding? I’ve got 13k miles on my 2018 Supersport and it’s sublime for commuting and handles sporty riding with absolutely no complaint. The new ones look even better than the previous MY, and it’s a phenomenal bike for the money, especially if you can find one that’s a year old for a few grand less than MSRP.

You should test ride the streetfighter v4. I had tuono 1100 since 2017 and a few weeks ago I test rode the streetfighter and I was amazed how much of an improvement it is over the tuono 1100. The throttle is silky smooth and behaves very well in lower RPMs. Also, it feels more torquey than the Tuono 1100 the power kicks in much earlier on the streetfighter, and when it does hold on for your dear life. Overall it's so much nicer to live with every day but the performance is something else, my 2018 r1 feels like a slow and heavy bike in comparison. I will definitely get one in a near future.
