I bought a 2022 base Tuono yesterday and instantly fell in love. Comfortable for 400-500 mile days and more than enough power. Handling is solid, but I’m sure it’ll be better once I get the suspension dialed in. The big difference between the base and the factory for me was the passenger accommodations (the girlfriend likes to go with on occasion) and the slightly more touring setup. I will likely track this thing, but most of my time will be on public roads.

I love that Aprilia left the base model to be more for an everyday/tour type ish experience.

Best review of the new tuono I watched. And I bought one recently for myself, I went for the base model (after owning 2017 RR some time ago). If you are not track oriented, saves you lots of money and is more convenient for daily use. Only gripe with the boring color schemes, they could have added some black/red option. But the sound... Love that bike

Congratulations buddy … how’s the engine heat in stop and go traffic??Thanks🙌🙌
@TheCannonRoar3 жыл бұрын
@@awesomeagnihotrisvlog The heat management is poor, worse than in my 2017 bike. In slow traffic in Town it easily gets to the max temperature (115 celsius). No Such problems at speed. As for heating my butt, for me it is not a problem, my earlier KTM SD GT and ZZR1400 were worse in that departament.

The rear pegs do interfere but they actually make for a nice heel support when you aren’t shifting much.

I agree, I have size 9 feet and it's perfect when I ride aggressive and slide my foot back it allows me to know exactly when my feet are and the rear passenger peg placement is a nice tool for me.

I like the appeal of the Tuono as an all day "sport" bike. Any of the true super sport counterparts of this will leave you sore if you have to do a whole day of riding, especially if you hit traffic. However, it's not really a touring bike and a true touring ride might see the comfort start to erode a bit, although it probably would not be as bad as the RSV4. But for commuting to mountain roads and commuting home, this is the perfect bike.

How does Racing work (power-torque) with that short pipe? Does it help that you have so long link pipe? I mean I have F255 with open airbox and 2-2 Mass GP1 system (40 cm long). It goes very good but Griff (AP UK), Gabro and others say shorty cans are not so good like longer cans for gen1. Bike looks fantastic and V4 rocks! Any generation Tuono rocks! Best bikes ever

@chris-builds3 жыл бұрын
Bigger gas tank on the base? Iirc the tuono factory is only good for 120mi per tank.
@IconicMotorbikes3 жыл бұрын
Great question - 4.9 gallon fuel tank for both models. That's the same as last year, but I was riding aggressively and I was seeing 30 mpg, which should be closer to 150 miles/tank.
@sixsigmax3 жыл бұрын
Fuel economy and high performance engines generally don’t go hand-in-hand. A larger capacity fuel tank will considerably change the ergonomics, center of gravity, and the racing characteristics of this iconic motorcycle. That said, I consistently get 160 Miles per tankful on my ‘21 Tuono Factory. Cheers mate.

Take the bags off and if you don't want a passenger ever, take off the passenger pegs if you can, and you can still do a track day with the base model. Best of both worlds really, although I do agree that there should be better colour options for it. With only grey and white, I just don't understand why it has to be a bike with no flair. I'd go for the Factory as that is what I have now. 2018 Factory. I found the 2021 Tuono felt cheaply made with what I can only describe as Chinese plastic 🙈 That is the main reason for me not going for the 2021 and the fact it is no faster than my 2018 better quality feeling Factory.
