FINALLY! The K67 2021 BMW s1000rr has come to life! The full Titanium Header Akra exhaust sounds sooo much better than the stock exhaust. Coming in around 4lbs, it feels much better on the bike as well. Whats the best s1000rr exhaust? Probably this one! PersonallyI went with titanium because I wanted quality. Akrapovic owns and controls every step of their manufacturing process all the way down to the mining of their own metals used in their products. I have the 21 with a full shorty akra.. Brentune stage 2, sprint air filter.. Its crazy the power of the bike when it's unlocked by Bren IMO. I don't miss my 17 blade at all lol Nice exhaust choice BTW!! Enjoy your S1000RR!!

I think brentune is my next step. But I think I'm going to go with the stage 1. Just enough to get rid of some of those restrictions. I keep hearing its a MUST! Yeah, I don't miss my '17 blade at all!! I mean, it was a nice bike, but nothing compared to these new s1000rr!!

I find mine in Dynamic cracks and pops only a little. When in Race it cracks and pops a lot more, but I dont like ABS disabled. Good sound for sure.

Hello sir. Just wanted to say that it’s look like you’re having a db killer in the exhaust. BMW’s akra from factory comes with that. At least over here where I live. It is one spot welded. Otherwise it don’t go trough first registration. It is possible to get it out but take a little bit more effort to get rid of that weld. Then you use the screw hole to hold it if you want to use it. Hope you get the bike home soon and it would be nice to here what was wrong with it. Take care

I believe they just removed the servo cables. I was actually looking for a servo buddy before install, but it doesn't look like they make one for this bike.

To be honest, I LOVE the engine on the rsv4. It has tons of torque which I think is a blast. The perfect bike would be the s1000rr with the rsv4 engine. lol. Overall though, I went with the s1000rr because it is super smooth with lots of power and comfortable for the type of riding my mostly do. Which is on the street and commuting. The RSV4 would be my pick if I did more track day style riding and/or racing. The RSV4 has all the power, all the time!

To be honest with you, I'm not sure of the brand, but it's from BMW. It's their aftermarket shield you can order with it.

Just did the same thing and sounds great but would prefer a hair less. Stock Akra already has a baffle but is there a way to add another or way to quiet it a little?

Actually to my understanding, the stock Akra doesn’t come with a baffle but can be added if ordered separately. I’ve thought about ordering one myself.

@@SethMichael it’s not removable but there is a sleeve of metal with no holes about 4 inches long towards the end of the can. Pretty sure that is a baffle.

I believe there is no deference in sound between the titanium, s-steel & steel. The deference is in weight only. True ?

It’s confirmed no tune is needed. Also if you do tune your bike it will leave a footprint if you do a warranty claim. BMW would have to prove that the tune directly caused whatever failure but it might make things harder with a tune. S1000RR K67 has 4 wide band O2 sensors that are constantly tuning the bike to the target AFR. Only reason for a tune would be to get more power and alleviate the flat spot mid range. If you’re content with the stock power then you don’t need a tune!

Correct. No tune needed to swap it out. I know there's more tech talk to go with it, but to my understanding the bike will making adjustments and relearn itself. My bike still runs just like it should after the install!

depending on where you live, you should be ok. Technically it's for race track only, but that goes with every after market part.

No errors at all. The bike has 4 o2 sensors and the bike basically re-learns after making the exhaust change.

Nope! No issues at all. I had my local shop to the install, but was a super simple swap thanks to the o2 sensors.

Nope. No servo buddy needed. Thankfully the S1k self learns, so after changing the exhaust, it runs just like it should.
