I love the way this slip on looks on the 2017+ R6! What I mean by best slip on is how does it compare with looks, sound and weight. Removal of the cat will be next! Baby steps... 😄

I’ve Done the Same thing with my 2016 R1 but Honestly only the look was worth it specially with the engraved R1 emblem on the Exhaust, my friends told me to remove the ( Catalytic ) but I didn’t not my kinda thing. But I was surprised with the extra steps to change the slip on compared to the R1, other than that Great Video as always and Ride Safe

Thanks! Yes this Akra slip on for the R6 and R1 looks amazing! Not too loud either. Once I remove to cat the sound will be much better.

@@itsmeericb I think you will need to remap after you do that, because airflow will change ( that’s what I’ve heard ) For sure would love to see you upload a video about that 👍🏻

What’s up EricB I had a quick question, I got this exhaust, but I also got the Akra headers and mid pipe, will it sound louder then what you have? I should have gotten the “full exhaust” that comes with everything but decided to do it separately. Love your content! Already subscribed

Looks nice! You went with the white R6 and the Akro pipe vs my white GSXR 600 with the Yoshi. I think if we want those pipes to get better sound we are going to have to get rid of that pesky cat. Who would you suggest to get an ECU flash, when i do that?

Yeah the cat will have to go for sure! I heard Bauce racing is pretty good for flashes.

Will that slip on fit on my R6? I can't find any information.. akrapovic website says only 2017-2020 but they sells other exhaust who fit on mk3 and mk4

You have a 3rd Gen? I thought the exhaust setup and frame were the same? I would think that it would but like you said it only says for 2017+. I’m not 100% certain and don’t want to give you false information. I would just keep searching the internet or see if you can find someone with a 2017+ and compare to see if anything is different.

@@ProGeorge92 It would fit with minor modifications. The stock muffler comes at a slightly different angle on 2017+ models

@@ProGeorge92 IIRC you'll need a sleeve to make a slight extension because the akrapovic slip-on will be at a few cm distance from the headers pipe

Muffler design and brand can still make a difference in weight, looks and sound. Not everyone will want to remove their catalytic converters. Thanks for watching.

@@petershi7782 There is a very minute change in sound with this slip on. You either have to get a shorty muffler or remove the cat.
