2021 Can-Am Ryker 900 Review - My Take on the Rally Edition

I had a chance to ride a 2021 Can-Am Ryker while I was hanging at John Maxwell's shop recently and I have to say, I was really impressed with this Can-Am. It is an interesting machine to say the least and I think it is worthy for sure.

Sway bar end links gets rid of the Twitchy feel and having a performance exhaust with a K&N air filter will make it respond better when accelerating. I have the Rally and those have been the best two upgrades so far.

The stock end links don't flex or bend so the aluminum ones don't change anything. The Twitch is driver impute! After a few hundred miles you will relax and stop fighting the bike and everything is absolutely fine. It's all a mind over matter equation 👍 We have 2 Ryker Rallies and have owned them since spring of 2019 and the suspension is stock. We did however Adjust the suspension to fit our needs for our type of roads and riding.

@@jamesglenn520 Stock end links are plastic of course they flex. I own a Ryker Rally and live in the backwoods of Missouri and can tell you from experience you've never known the difference.

@@kip1512 My buddy has a set of Aluminum on his and he said no difference at all. He also builds race car suspensions and we used his test equipment to test the stock ones off his bike and they don't flex. The pressure on them is straight down. They don't fold sideways when installed on the bike. But if yours made a difference for you that what counts. 👍

My husband ride a Harley. I can not because I am disabled with mobility issues so I want a 3 wheeled vehicle. I am looking a the Ryker so I can ride on my own not just passenger.

I got a 2020 rally then wife got a 2021 600.rhey are loads of fun. I've suped mine up a bit and hers is stock. I rode 2.whwwls for 10 years and been off bikes for 10 years die to back injury. Its so much fun to be back in the wind.

I have a Ryker Rally. I have my motorcycle license through Harley riding course but had major anxiety about riding on the highway. My husband talked me into three wheels first. Now I'm used to being exposed on the highway and looking at getting two wheels. My sister-in-law has some health concerns but after I got mine she got her own. It gave her the option to ride her own that she wouldn't have had otherwise. But regardless, the thing is a BLAST to ride!

@@HLZBORO738 Depends on your state. Some states require a three wheel license. In SC you just need a regular driver's license and you're good to go.

Hey Dan, another great video, thanks for sharing! My new Powerboost has a build date of the week of April 4....hopefully not delayed. These Rykers seem super cool. I'm 65 y/o and sold my last bike, last year, a 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS SE. It was time to let the two wheeling go after 49 years of riding; just wasn't feeling it anymore in the corners. Now seriously considering exactly what you're riding in the video. I appreciated your views and the footage of you riding it.

Make sure to do a proper Break-in before hot rodding around. It's very bad for the belt and clutches. Not to mention the engine!!

On the bottom button press and hold for a few seconds then you'll see the difference ride modes come across the screen then just push the button to select what mode you want

Can Am's are great fun,. I have an F3 Limited and love the comfort and power it has when 2-up with my wife. Do I miss being on 2-wheels? Yes...but not with her on the back. Nearing 60 years old, I didn't feel confident with her on the back anymore. I've been riding for 45 years and am looking hard at the Indian Challenger. I demo'd one and fell in love.

@@HLZBORO738 depends on where you live. In my state, you need one. But you can get a permit and drive it about 6 weeks before taking the test.

Best review I have seen on here! Succinct and to the point, no flim-flam. I am seriously considering this vehicle and this review just makes me want it even MORE! Ill support 3 wheelers and scooters. My gfs mom lost a leg and still gets on the back of her husband's trike. My vet buddy has a bad back and rides a trike. Only thing i don't like is slingshots. Fuck those. Those are cars lol

Next time you get a chance to drive the Rally find a gravel or dirt road, learn how to put it in Rally mode, and have fun drifting and doing donuts. I've had my Rally here in the Shenandoah Valley for about a month now and have a blast on the unimproved roads around here. I've been riding 2 wheeler's for over 50 years and this has opened up a whole new set of adventures. But forget all you know about driving 2 wheels. It just doesn't compute on the Ryker. Oh, and remember that 4.5" of ground clearance. ;)

People who don’t think three wheeled cycles are motorcycles need to look at the language. There is a bi-cycle, two wheels. There is a tri-cycle, three wheels. There is a motor-cycle, a cycle with a motor. The number of wheels is not the deciding factor. The motor is. A motorcycle is such because it has a motor…not because it has two wheels. They don’t call them motor-bi-cycles. These are also cycles with motors…thus they ARE MotorCycles.

Don't mess with other things while you're driving, especially, since you haven't ridden the cam-am before. It's too dangerous or you just don't care about staying alive.
