Hi there! Nice built! That spacer right under the stem. Please tell more about it. It's pretty importat if one wants to do a similar built. Looks awesome! How did you get it? Do you have a Canyon part number/sku or something on it. Thanks in advance.

Great video! What size install bushing kit did you purchase for the new rear shock?
@gaddobronx674010 ай бұрын
Hey bud...nice upgrades. I noticed when you were upgrading the cranks, the bottom bracket was threaded. However on the website it states that the bottom brackets for the spectral is Pressfit 92. I'm just wondering as I do prefer a threaded BB. One of the things that was steering me away from purchasing a Spectral was the pressfit BB.
@joeblack40263 жыл бұрын
You can take the spacer from the shock , the frame will take easily 65mm stroke. I did that with x2 so now it has around 160mm travel

Do you have spectral 29? Are you ok with the 65mm?

@jnovin3 жыл бұрын
Nice build! What did you use as a stem spacer between the Canyon special plastic spacers and the standard stem? The video shows the stem but I could not make out the details. Did you find something after market that fit or did you have to make it? We’re trying to replace the default stem as well but the Canyon spacer design is causing an issue.

Hey mate, did the bash guard adapter come with the bike and how many tooth chainring? Nice upgrades, can't wait to get mine
@mtbberta78723 жыл бұрын
Bash guard did come as the factory chain guide is attached to it. The sprocket is 32t stock. I kept with 32 but went oval.
@hambo76 Жыл бұрын
@@mtbberta7872 Did you have any issues with chain suck or chain slap? Canyon told me that they don't recommend a 30T round or 32T oval, even for the alloy version which has even better spacing between the chain and the top of the chainstay.
@mattn73 жыл бұрын
This bike has a 55mm chain line vs the standard 52. You didn’t have any issues fitting that crank? I had GX crank I wanted to use but it seems tight on clearance. Thinking I would wait to find one made for the 55 CL which they make, just seem to be only available OEM at the moment.
@mtbberta78723 жыл бұрын
I used a different space I want to say the 4.5mm or 6mm. It took some testing and was probably the most cumbersome. No issues with my GX CARBON cranks though.

I got the neon magura mt-07 for my spectral 29, the stock brakes are too weak for my weight.

I thought about trying the Magura Brakes, love the look of them. Been doing some research on them.

Some more details of crank installation would be nice to see. As chain stays are running wide close to bottom bracket... How did you fit your cranks?
@mtbberta78723 жыл бұрын
I am using the 6mm spacer on the drive side of the bb. I basically did trial and error to determine the fit. I will definitely address this in a video coming up.

@@mtbberta7872 Hello, I own 2021 Spectral 29 LTD rigged with a Fox 36. After a couple of months of hard riding I regreased the headset as it was fairly /annoyingly noisy. When I went to reassemble I had my 2 year old son playing around who messed up my sequence. So, the questions are: does the top bearing with the black seal side go on top (blue side on the bottom)?; does the small thin washer go on top of the top bearing just before the funny shaped dust cover? Mounted this way it looks good but I just wanna make sure. Thanks for your help

Your videos have been very helpful I do have a question for you about the sizing chart I'm a 511 and a half just shy of 6 ft and I normally ride a large in all my bikes in US sizes I could get away with a medium but I feel like my legs are up too high when I pedal so the sizing chart with canyon says that I am in a medium is that accurate or should I go with the large
@mtbberta78722 жыл бұрын
So ironically I am currently on a medium now of the frame. I like the medium way more. So for your size I say a large and 35mm stem is ideal. Also a 200mm dropper fits no problem!
@barneyrubble64852 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, how come you got rid of the small frame? I’m 167cm do you think a small would be good or a medium?

Where did you get the contoured spacer right under your Diety stem? I want to change mine out to a OneUp stem but then you see the gaps in the OEM spacers.

Lucky you, I ordered my Spectral CF 8 in Jan and it is going to be ready in August... I also like to upgrade my bikes , but why didn't you ride the bike for couple of months to wear out the current parts, and then throw in all the new components?
@mtbberta78723 жыл бұрын
Took some off my Strive I had and out on there. I then used a lot of the parts and put them on my strive to sell it. I typically keep one bike at a time anyway. This allowed for me to make some money back and also have the bike the way I wanted it. I would have done the 9 if the color scheme was green though. That bike stock is dialed!!!
