Quick update: if you don't want to cut the harness grab 2 metra 71 7306 harnesses and 1 70 7306 reverse harness. You'll have to repin the 71 7306, that's why you need two. It's easy, just a litle time consuming

Have you removed the map light unit above the driver? I cant find any information online for how to remove this. I assume there are screws hidden somewhere but cant locate them

How did you run the speed wire to the head unit? Is there a gap to feed it through under the glove compartment?

0:09 like I said before. This isn't for all Elantras. My 2022 Elantra N has the bose stereo and all those wires in the trunk. There is no need for people with that type of vehicle to disassemble the dash; the cables won't be there.

Nice video, at 7:52 I see that there are screw holes covered by plastic caps behind the facial frame of the stereo. I was wondering if its possible to take off only the front frame (bezel) of the screen by removing only the screws under the plastic caps behind the frame without taking out the entire stereo? On my brand new elantra ultimate here in Canada with mat finished stereo, I noticed a scratch mark on the stereo display bezel few days after taking delivery, possibly made by bumping a sharp tool or something at the dealership while preparing for delivery.

Sorry for the delayed response. I know exactly what you're talking about and that was the first thing I tried. All it does is remove the plastic cover to the rear of the screen. It doesn't allow access to any of the other screws that hold it in.

I would try asking someone in the service department at your local dealership. You would be surprised on what info they'll give you sometimes.

I do not have any manuals for it. I'm not sure if one even exists yet. If I need info on removal or install procedures, I go to my dealer and ask the service techs for a print out

I removed the dash, and to my surprise, the stereo head unit wasn't anywhere to be found. :( I have a 2022 Elantra N. Can't find any information anywhere. All I have left to do with my installation is to tap into the power wire, reconnect speakers, etc. I'm stuck. The unit appears to be mounted elsewhere for the Elantra N with Bose and digital dash.

@@mharro88 Go to Hyundai's tech site. You can have access to all tech docs for $20 a week ($60/month). Which area of the dash are you experiencing the rattle?
