Really like this car and was considering manual version of it. It's a polarizing look but I dig it and like it a lot and the performance from what I've seen is fantastic.

It’s as close to the Elantra N as you can get for at least $10k less! I haven’t driven the manual version but I’d imagine it’s just as good as my car.

i’ve had my N-line for almost a year now, the only thing i had a issue with was my brake boost part. it broke almost a month into ownership so i’d recommend getting it check if you hear any rattling while driving!!💙

Thanks for the videos. I appreciate your down to earth comments. One question, do you experience any clutch (DCT) slippage? The same transmission in the Kona N Line doesn’t seem to be appreciated at all. Perhaps the tuning of the Elantra’s is done better? Your thoughts please.

Hi Stef, thank you for the kind words! I experience some slippage in my first 10 minutes of driving the car during these cold winter months. After the car warms up, I don’t get any slipping. I will say that the shifts aren’t as crisp as when the car was new. There’s definitely been some wear and tear with all of the low speed traffic crawling I do. Definitely make sure you bring up any issues you have with your service department. Even if they don’t do anything upfront, the more you complain about it, the more they are likely to replace the transmission. They will be reluctant at first but if you can replicate your issues with them, you should have a good argument to get it fixed! Keep me updated!

So you’ve been driving with the stock all season Hankooks this entire time? How have they been in the winter? Got my ENL recently and not sure if I should keep them or go for winter tires

Yes I have been! Most of my 43k miles have been on the highway. The hankooks were no good in the snow, felt like they were a good tire otherwise. My continentals have been better for inclement weather so far but I haven’t tested them in heavy snow yet as we haven’t had a big storm since I got them

So that’s my question, how are the Hankooks in snow. Seems they aren’t good. Hmm, guess I’ll have to look into winter tires then. You kind of gave me some false hope lol seeing how you’ve rode on them through several winters now 😅

@@patstraka6326 I don't have to drive in a lot of inclement weather as I have an option to work from home during severe storms. In the video on the tires specifically I recommend having a set of winter tires and summer tires if your wallet can afford it. I went with a set of all seasons again only because I can't afford to spend $2000+ on two sets of tires and another set of rims. My out of pocket for these tires alone was just barely 1k with an alignment. Most expensive all seasons will get you decent performance in snow but not nearly as much capabilities as a snow tire. Sorry I wasn't clear about all of that before!
