Got a ranger work ute oil pump and turbo failure at 160,000 then window winder failed plus another in the fleet dropped a big end 170,000 ks and another had window winder issues,its a lot of $$ that i wont part with

Great ute, well built, so comfortable and capable, but it's 2021. No Blind spot? Central air bag? 360 camera. Over inflated prices. Can't wait for the new one to arrive.

I had gaps under the sports bar side profile of my PX3 Wildtrak just above the rear lights caused by nothing less than lazy slapdash workmanship at the factory with the fitting of rivet nuts in to the body of the rear tub required to bolt down the Wildtrak sports bar. Ford refused to rectify the defect with numerous excuses, including that the gap was nothing more than a characteristic of the Wildtrak. I therefore removed the sports bar myself and found those bent and buckled rivet nuts which I pulled out like set of rotten teeth being removed. I then stuck in a standard nut and bolt which finally closed up the gap exactly as the sports bar was designed to be fitted. I'm still waiting to be reimbursed by Ford for the work which I had to do myself whilst the vehicle was (and is) still under warranty. Dealing with Ford's customer service department in Melbourne is like banging your head against a brick wall. Uninterested, unprofessional and completely cluless about the spec of their own vehicles.

This is why smart buyers do not write Ford in their shopping lists. You are not just buying the product, you are buying the dealer support, dealer network, dealer reputation, brand trustworthy, resale value, reliability, along with several other considerations, in an overall package. Lets hope Ford OZ change their mentality/attitude/thought process and offer better after sell experience with the new Ranger - Their most important vehicle for the rest of the decade.

I'm interested in seeing if the new one is this good. It has some big shoes to fill. As a owner on a 2021 Wildtrak, I don't think I will upgrade. I'd rather wait a few years for the Face-lift of the one being launched tomorrow.

People will say anything because them can buy any other vehicle but not me me can't afford it so that's why if I ever hone one am going to take the very best care for it for I know for a fact that fif you take care of it it going to take care of you two

As great as the vehicle is, it would be a big call to buy one now with the new model out very soon (notwithstanding it might be hard to get for a while). Unless planning to hold onto it for a while, the resale on this will will tumble when the new one hits.

wouldnt be so sure of that. as whenever there is a completely new model people are weary about the new model as sometimes they can have teething issues. given that people would still buy the older model and will likely get a better deal
