Great for Ford. You guys have came such a long way. My grandfather has a 91 Ford ranger and has to use two separate keys. One to unlock the door and one to start it. I can't believe that you guys have managed to come up with the technology to combine them both into one key.

Can you open the door by proximity with the fob? Or do you have to press a button on the remote? My 7 year old honda accord has that feature where you simply walk up to the car, grab the handle (and if the key is in your pocket within proximity) and it unlocks. You never have to take it out of your pocket. Is this the same way or no?

So it does all the things a key will do, got it. That information on starting when the fob is dead has some merit. Many other cars due actually want you to use the fob to press the button if its dead so knowing about that other location is handy. Not sure why you need to remove the rubber in the cup holder though I'm sure it can sense through that thin rubber.

If you read the manual, you’ll know these things. In my ‘19, you just put the key in the cup holder. I guess you can take it back out so you can use the cup holder for a cup. I don’t have the Lariat, so I don’t have push button start, but I love using the app to start my car in the summer

Totally get that, reading the manual does cover the most information but for those short on time, voila! The key features can be handy for everyday use. And yeah, putting the key in the cup holder can definitely get in the way of your coffee! Using the app to start in summer is a game-changer, though. Gotta love that convenience

I was just at a parking lot- showing off my Ranger and my key fob was in the truck interior door pocket, my truck was running and the doors locked? Truck shut off 30 minutes after it had been running, but doors still locked till my wife showed up with extra key fob. Why did the truck lock doors with keys in it?

forgot that I spent $49 on an accessory. it is the tailgate slow open shock that allows you to open tailgate and let it go to slow open by itself. very useful information that my salesperson did not cover. a locking tailgate has NOT been an option on most vehicles until lately so that is great for us that have a bed cover. modern keys are very complicated and for us that are not IT literate, very discomforting to use. will have to back to the dealer as I had to get a new phone.

You can add the hidden feature.. if you press the unlock button. Then press and hold it for over 5 seconds .. The front windows will come down.
