Thank you for the video! I just did my first oil change on my 21 Crew and was a little worried at the pan location and filter number. I did mine at 3311 miles because we drive in the mountains where it's ~6% grade on the highway and short distances typically. I may go a little bit longer with the full synthetic this time around.

Nice simple informative no frills video. Very nice. I noticed on my Transit it seems when checking the oil after changing maybe 3 or 4 thousand the oil looks really dirty. My 300 thousand Tacoma I use on the ranch the oil looks new after several thousand. Almost like the Transit isn't a very clean running motor. Kind of similar to my Dodge 5.9 Cummins. Its diesel I get that.

I wouldn't worry about. When oil breaks down in most engines. They will change colors. And in some case it depends on how the vehicle in being used. Either way, by keeping the oil changed you are in good shape

I have a RV Gemini Ford 2021 3.5L Transit and my Cap says 5W-30 like in the video but in the manual, it says 5W-20. I called Ford on this and they looked up my VIN and told me to use 5W-20 oil like in the manual. I then called the dealership to get a new Cap with 5W-20 on it, so if I took it to an oil shop, they would use the correct oil. The Ford dealer looked up my VIN and looked in the Ford FDRS system and told me 5W-30 was correct. I called Ford back and they told me again to use 5W-20 after I told them the dealer told me to use something different. But I would not accept this and told him I saw a couple of videos on YourTube for the Transit and they all had 5W-30 caps and asked him to dig deeper. I was then told that because I have a heavy 11,000lbs Transit that 5W30 was correct. That this for what it is. Post here what's in your manual?

To be honest either one will work. It can depend on your location or where you live and what you are using the vehicle for. For example, you can use 5w-20 in the Winter months. And use 5w-30 in the summer months. If you are using this vehicle for heavy traveling and pulling. 5w-30 is truly the way to go.

Question. Did you have to make that initial mess screwing off the oil filter soo much or can you just drain the pan first and gradually screw off the fiter? @1:45

That is a good question. I have tried it both ways. Either way that Filter makes a mess. Ford could have done better than that.

Yes, I use Full Synthetic . I schedule for 5000 miles Oil Change. But never exceed 6500 miles

Not long at all. As long as you can get under the front area. It shouldn't take no more than 35-40 minutes for a complete Oil Change.

That is strange. Make sure your Dipstick Tube is mounted properly
