Getting a 2023 G80 AWD 2.5T Sport Prestige delivered tomorrow trading my bullet proof flawless 2022 GV70 AWD 3.5T Advanced and I’m sure I’ll miss the 6 every once in a while. I do have a C6 Corvette with a Edelbrock SC when I need to scratch that itch. But Ben I hate to tell you your $7k spread is now $9,600 different with the same Prestige packages. It’s a work vehicle with lots of interstate driving so I’ll be happy to get 30 mpg vs 25 mpg.

Looks like you had the 2.5t Advanced. The 2.5t Premium has the same seats.

Interesting... Strangely enough - to me, at least - the 4-cylinder sounds curiously more muscular (despite being smaller), and the V6 sounds more mechanical. I'm thinking that the $7K difference could be because the V6 has better reliability long-term - not just because of it's increased power. The MPG difference dosen't seem too large.

G70 sport package 3.3T in Electric Blue. Thats what I want. G80 would work too, but the 70 just seems more sporty. They compare this to a Mercedes E class or Audi A8, but even though I'm a Hyundai fanboy, I would say its comparable to an Audi A6 and a Mercedes C class.i don't think these can hang in the same class as the S class, BMW 7 series definitely not the 8 series, Audi A7. To me the Genesis is like a Lexus, Lincoln or Acura. Now maybe Jaguar or Volvo.

Audi A6 is more comparable to the G80 and the A4 is more comparable to the G70. The A8 is more comparable to the G90

For sure the G80 is better than the C Class and the A6, although the A6 comes a bit close. It's also better than an E class but not an A8. The G80 isn't built to match-up against the big bosses like the S Class and 7 Series, because that's the job of the G90. The G80 is in the middle of those next level sedan luxury cars, and those affordable sedan luxury cars. The G80 just has too many against the E Class.

G80 3.5 l turbo is faster than a 2.5 l turbo g80

The 2.5 liter engine is underpowered. I would always go with the big engine :)
@trith723 жыл бұрын
It’s actually not underpowered. It’s all the power you need to cruise comfortably at 80mph on the highway and easily hit 100 with a lot more in the tank if needed. I turned down the v6 because it made zero sense to pay the extra for wasted gas and get almost identical performance.

@@trith72 300hp for a turbo 4 is actually pretty good. However, Hyundai makes terrible 4 cylinders. Not sure if this new 2.5T would be an exception. Their V6's are proven and some of the best in the industry. I would not hesitate opting for the V6 even if I have to pay more regardless of performance.

2.5 sounds better 3.5 v6 is raspy . Not impressed not worth the money. But of corse I haven’t driven them myself. But from what I can see it’s a pass for me. But thanks for review of the power.

An used 2020 G80 3.3T Sport or a 5.0L V8 Ultimate would make more sense than either of these. They both have powerful engines and are much better value propositions. They also still look fresh and modern. I also personally prefer the older exterior look (mainly the Sport model) vs this new one.
