This is the top of the line in the Roam Family of bikes. In Canada there are 5 different levels of Roam ranging from $639 up to $1389 (Canadian Dollars) with this Roam 0.

A brilliant touring/everyday bike. I live in South Wales uk and have had them (we have two) for about 3 yrs. Riden them all over the UK, and across to the Netherlands. Swapped the tyres to Maxxis Rambler 700x40, also fitted Topeak panniers, and fitted lock out grips and a bike stand. A lovely comfortable tourer, I do use it locally for shopping trips and it can cope with riding along the canal towpaths. Definitely not an MTB. We've had no problems at all with the two Roams we ride.

Excellent video! I just picked up this exact bike just before Christmas and I'm so excited to put some miles on it. I wanted that bike so badly I was going to drive 4 hours to Ottawa/Hull to get one. Luckily I did a final search hefore I left and found one in Oakville...now they are all sold out in the GTA.

I bought this bike in February of 2021 and could only find it in stock at Cyclepath Oakville, highly recommend - the staff there are excellent. The bike is a dream to ride and handles very well. Two things the video doesn't mention is for the D-Fuse seatpost you should use graphite grease to prevent slippage over time and purchase a torque wrench to properly tighten the seatpost bolts. This will save some possible future frustration. As to be expected from Giant the Roam is the best on the market for value compared to other similar bikes.

I miss the mud/water frame guard that was on the 2020. That was something that set it apart from any other brand I've seen. Also I'm not sure I like those tires. It's either tubeless or tubed for me. I never like unique anything when it comes to needing replacements for main parts like a tire. I prefer tread options and standard parts if I'm getting a new one. Great channel and content. I watched a few of your other videos and they are wonderfully detailed.

@@Tomekkk To mój pierwszy rower z tej pułki, wiec nie mam porównania. Odpowiadając na Twoje pytanie osobiście jestem bardzo zadowolony, rower sprawuje się świetnie, jest lekki, jedzie się tez bardzo lekko, ma dobry osprzęt jest to widoczne już na pierwszy rzut oka w porównaniu z tańszymi modelami. Siodełko wygodne, zadek nie boli, co ważne. W dodatku ma bardzo ładny kolor, uważam to za zaletę ;). Blokada amroka się przydaje szczególnie na asfalcie przy ruszaniu na światłach. Co do wad to mógł by być trochę większy skok amortyzatora i lepsze rączki bo się ta guma przekręca i podkładki pod nadgarstki co jakiś czas trzeba poprawiać. Rower wart swojej ceny w mojej ocenie co uważam za wadę bo strach zostawiać nawet na 2 minuty pod sklepem ;). Pozdrawiam!

@@krotki9 Dzięki za odpowiedź, mam jeszcze dwa pytania. 1. Jak oceniasz opony? Rower jest na nich szybki, czy jest trochę za szeroka i zamula? Jest to opona w której jest "mleko"? 2. Jak oceniasz karbonową sztyce na której jest siodełko? Słyszałem że są z nią problemy i opada. więc trzeba co jakiś czas poprawiać wysokość siodełka. Zauważyłeś z tym jakiś problem? PS: i jeszcze jedno pytanie, jaki jest komfort jazdy? pozycja jest w miarę wyprostowana i kierownica nie jest za szeroka? wygodnie się jeździ? nie ma problemu z bólami pleców etc po np 40 km jazdy?

@@Tomekkk Nie ma problemu, służę pomocą. Co do opon to wydają się szybkie nie narzekam na ich opory, jak są mocno napompowane suną jak po lodzie, na ludzie rower długo wytraca prędkość. Tak jest wlane mleko do opony zrobili to już na miejscu jak kupowałem rower. Sztyca nie opada nie zauważyłem żadnych problemów w tej kwestii. Z tego co się orientuje to u mnie dodatki taki specjalny środek który zapobiega opadaniu a sztyca została odkręcona kluczem dynamometrycznym. Co do pozycji to nie bolą plecy a sama pozycja wydaje się wygodna, po przejechaniu 32 km ciągiem wszystko grało, jedyne co zauważyłem to cierpiące ręce po dłuższej jeździe ale to może wynikać z ciągłej pracy przy komputerze i cieśni nadgarstka. Pozdrawiam

@Lukasz Ignasiak kupiłem ten rower ROAM 0 2021 i uważam że to była jedna z najgorszych decyzji w moim życiu, po pierwsze przerzutki ciężko wyregulować tak, żeby na większości zakresu nie ocierał łańcuch o wózek, były problemy z amortyzatorem z jego zablokowaniem, baardzo niewygodne siedzisko, chwyty na kierownicy ciągle się przekręcają, klamki hamulców niby nowy rower a są tak rozklekotane jak w jakimś rowerze za 1000zł a nie modelu premium za 5000zł, do korby i w jej okolice dostaje się piasek i trzeszczy, Jedyna zaleta tego roweru to to, że jest piękny, poza tym wszystko inne to żenada straszna, nie polecam ROAMa 0 i w ogóle Gianta.

Despite the GIANT's range of sizes, what size of ROAM would you recommend to someone, who is 179cm height. (ground -> crotch distance is about 84/85 cm)

What happened to the hybrids with the little comfort spring on the seatpost? My old man has one of those on his bike and he loves it. Does that new fangled D seat post really flex to the point where you do not need it?

Hi. Typically the suspension seatpost is seen on bikes with a very upright seating position (comfort bike) and aren't as popular on this type of hybrid. The DFuse seatpost is a much less noticeable flex than what a suspension post would have - as an upside, the dfuse post doesn't develop lateral slop the way suspension posts do

Yes. Just pay attention to tire air pressure so you don't damage rims or get pinch flats.
