When you opened the door to the half bath I thought it was going to be a pantry. Disgusting that they put a bathroom right next to the kitchen. Will has such a great laugh! This was my favorite video so far! Great job guys!

As you can see I already own a solitude and love it. Now with this one here I do not want a toilet in my kitchen. I think the shower should have been bigger by moving the sink over. And the most important is Mr Will your handsome but you can’t compete with Andrea 😂

I agree, I would rather have it be a pantry. Since it is only me and my daughter. We can share the master bathroom. I would also remove one of the couches and have a built in bed with drawers underneath and a curtain to pull across, like a train berth for my daughter.

Before I comment on this 5th wheel, I want to give kudos and lots of cred to Will. Great job observing some fine points and helping make the review even better. Two sets of eyes make it much better. So, keep doing what you're doing, Will! Matt, you've got a great addition to your team! Ok, on to the 5th wheel. I love front living room models, too. This one is no exception. Lots to like, but some dislikes as well. My 3's: Likes: 1. Kitchen layout, fridge and oven/stove. Also the buffet area. Wonderful. 2. Storage throughout the rig. 3. Generator prep (but I think that at this price point, a generator should be standard. Didlikes: 1. I agree with Will about the half bath. Get rid of it, or move it between the kitchen and bedroom. 2. I understand the reason for the steps to the rear of the rig, but I think it would get old quickly if I were full timing. 3. I do not like the dinette, even with only 2 chairs. Would rather see bar stools on the island or maybe instead of the dinette itself. Thanks.

This is a great 5th wheel! 4 Likes: 1: Amazing and spacious front living area with plenty of seating and sleeping space 2: Spacious rear bathroom 3: Amazing exterior and interior storage 4: Cool coffee bar area in kitchen for smaller appliances 2 Dislikes: 1: Cramped and awkwardly-placed half-bath 2: Not a huge fan of the exterior paint job

Grand Design Solitude does not disappoint! First time seeing the front living model thanks for sharing it. Dislikes: 1. No slam latch doors on the propane storage area. 2. Prepped for a generator, I feel at this level it should be included. 3. Wet bay area looks kinda tight. 4. Hate the ladder, they needed to put at least one more step on it, how are you suppose to inspect the roof and caulking without Will to give you a boost onto the ladder? 5. The fans needs the better covers for use in all weather. 6. Half bath is so small looks tight and I hate toilets off the kitchen! Maybe reconfigure so door is on the hallway side instead. 7. Some of the cupboards opening opposite each other, think this would be inconvenient. 8. Shower, weird step up into it, seat inside shower takes up floor space (maybe the teak fold down seat would work better) and agreeing with Matt it does look small for the space. Likes: 1. Love the construction safety features in Grand Designs. 2. Stabilizers and sturdy steps. 3. Slam latch doors on most storage areas. 4. Large storage for easy organization. Large slide out tray for easy access. 5. Power cord reel. 6. Living area has plenty of room for everyone to be together without being crowded, storage in living area and ceiling height are both pluses in this area. 7. Appliance package is high end. 8. Counter top space and so much storage in the kitchen. 9. Table and chairs instead of desk area (like in the other brands) but this area does look tight. 10. Large walk around bed. Plenty of bedroom storage. 11. Prepped for washer and dryer (although at this level maybe that should have been included already). 12. Bathroom storage, counter space and toilet placement.

This has to be the gold standard for fifth wheels. There's many other nice brands, but love the Solitude. Love the front living area (everything about it), the kitchen is great (love the stove, big fridge, coffee bar, pantry, storage in general, sink and island, love the master bedroom/bathroom suite, stackable w/d prep. The outside storage is second to none also. I'm like Will, I'm not really crazy about the half bath location but understand that if you have company, they have a place to go without coming into your bedroom, but right next to the kitchen isn't cool. Love the reviews guys, keep it up!

+ Nice to have a place to store the kitchen sink covers. + Great TV. setup. Console approved. + bathroom - my actual bathroom in my apartment isn't this large! - Remove one of the sofas in the front to instead be a desk. - Front speakers in living room. Fantastic. Needs the extra surrounds installed. I never see actual surround sound in a RV. - slide outs need covers to keep debris and rain out on the top.

Jfi, this goes for all manufactures of this big rig floor plan, 1/2 bath off the kitchen, they all do it. And, any that have front living room, regardless manufacturer, ALL have a small size front basement/garage storage area, all of them! Yes two of those dining chairs DO fold up Matt, lol. You would appreciate the rails that Wil dislikes in the back basement garage area, as having your stuff fall into the pull out cargo bay to be much more inconvenient. GD was the first ones to come up with this massive back end basement/garage storage area. Now who’s gonna be the first to turn one of those couches in the living room into a nice big desk area or at least the option? Cheers 🍻

Love it. Particularly storagestoragestorage, the feeling of distinctly separate living areas, and the modern finishes. Sounds small, but other manufacturers need to switch to the sleeker low profile lines of the valances/ side pieces on the blinds. My dislikes are honestly just minor preferences. I do agree with Will on the 1/2 bath by the food prep, but where else to go with it? Side note, LOVE WILL on this channel! He’s the perfect straight man to counter Matt’s silly energy. Love his dry sense of humor😆

We toured this one on the weekend, the only thing we didn't like was the way the kitchen and dining area seemed so small in comparison to the one we had previously toured. Maybe if they had not raised the bedroom up. Love, love the front living room, however, my husband was not a fan.

This a great 5th wheel. Likes so many my top 3: 1. The front living room with the televator TV. I am not a big tv person and this great. 2. The back storage. I like the cage, could strap stuff to it 3. Stackable w/d placement. Dislikes 1. The stove placement very little counter space beside stove. 2 the shower and 3 i agree with Will 2nd bath is not in a good place. That being said if some wants to buy me in I would not complain 😉

The 3 things I like about this fifth wheel RV:: 1. the living room: opposing tri-fold sofas, curtain to separate from the rest of the RV, tables on either side of the theater seats, big windshield 2. the rear storage: slide-out tray, cord reel 3. the kitchen The 3 things I don't like about this fifth wheel RV:: 1. small shower for how big the bathroom is 2. the half bath: opens into the kitchen and it's small. I would prefer a walk-in pantry in place of the half bath and put more counter space and cabinets where the current pantry is

I like seeing Will in the video for the tall test. I think this is the best floor plan available in a fifth wheel. The amount of exterior storage it provides is ridiculous. The only thing that I think could make it better is to remove the 1/2 bath to provide a larger kitchen.

It has a lot of storage, which is great, but there is only about 2,200 pounds of payload capacity. Maximum weight would be reached long before the storage is full.

Great video, guys. I’m late to the game here… by a solid year, however, I do believe the cage in the rear storage is actually structural. With no support in the middle (due to the sliding tray) that aluminum framework looks to be the support for the upper level (bathroom)

How many electrical circuits are used for electrical outlets? Mine only has a single circuit for all inside outlets (excluding the washer/dryer prep). We are full time RVers and that can sometimes be a problem. Toaster, coffee pot and a hair dryer used at the same time will trip the 15 amp breaker for the electrical outlets.

Three things I don’t like....for the price point it should have the stackable washer and dryer, the slide for the dining room table just isn’t wide enough, and the seat in the shower looked a little low to me. Three things I like are...lots of storage everywhere, two sinks in the bathroom, and the size of the oven. Questions....was there prep for solar? What size truck would you need to pull this monster?

3 dislikes: Living Room tv is way too small (& televators are just 1 more thing to break) Don't like 3 steps up to bedroom because my hubby is REALLY tall & needs more kitchen counter space, 4th dislike: if I see brown or cream on the outside of any more 5th wheels I am going to 🤮. I love this floorplan, love the big master bath & love the residential feel of the coach (we need an option for white cabinets, though lol) Great review guys! And Wil had a great point about the 💩🌮

Like’s rear basement storage ( Will if there was no framework in there big guys like you and me would cave floor in, just sayin ). King bed, front living room. Dislikes no caulking around counter top rear bathroom. Love double sinks, move one to side making room for bigger shower, pretty sure my wife would want more counter space around stove. I dislike the half bath in the kitchen (LOL Will), the (ugly) flat brown colored cabinets, and the narrow space for the table, even with the (Will noticed!) folding chairs. I love the living room set up, the king bedroom and the big stove and oven.

I really like the wet bays on all the Grand Designs, love the front living room floor plan, and the huge bathroom. I don’t like the brown tones inside and outside, seems very out dated and the lack of slide toppers at this price point.
