Yes, that's one of my bikes. I have the 2018. It was a dealer demo with Stage 1 and the higher wind screen in sliver fortune. The thing was no one wanted silver and the mantis wheels get mixed reviews so the dealer, who lives in my neighborhood, wanted to dump it and I was able to get a super deal. I swapped out the seat for a Corbin, added crash bars, added LED turn singles, a front light bar, and heated grips. The best option I added was the TourPak for overnight rides. Overall, I'm happy with the SG but it does need a Stage 1 out the door and it really is a solo bike as it feels off balance with a passenger and you lose the feel of the front end. The hard bags work but are small and feel a little cheap for the MSRP of the bike. The only issues I had were the fake gas cap rattled and the gauge fogged up and both were replaced under warranty. Of all the Harley's these lose their value quickly and you can find used low mileage SG's thousands under MSRP. These are nice bikes but now dated and they should come with the 114, better hard bags, and the faring needs a redesign. IMO, if I were buying new I would now go with the Low Rider S 114 over the Sport Glide. If I wanted a good deal on a used Harley I would search for a low mileage SG.

Great review. I recently bought a 2021 SG and love it. I had a Softail Lowrider before and I reckon the SG handles and stops better. It’s also a much more comfortable riding position, although I am planning to fit some Kuryakyn foot boards to stop my heels dragging in the corners! Ride safe Buddy.

Longer shock off other model or Bunk King shock spacer is cheap easy fix for more lean angle. Gustafson makes windshields with vents that actually work for this fairing. It’s a great bike HD should bring back.

It seems to have been a pretty popular bike, but H-D's plans were to reduce the line-up, and the SG didn't make the cut. Too bad, because I think it's a great bike. I especially love the quick release bags and fairing. Give the rider options for different ride scenarios, not to mention it can really change the look of the bike. Almost like owning three different bikes in one.

Dual disc break does not stop quicker. It disappates the heat better. If you are on the throttle and breaks all the time like a sportbike you want the heat to disappate. And not heat up your disc. For cruising and normal riding a single disc is more than fine. But i do agree. Whould love to have 2. Even if its just for the symmetrie to look at.

I was down to the Sport Glide or Heritage when I bought my new bike a couple months ago. I chose the Heritage primarily because of the comfort of the foot boards and the mini ape handle bars. But I could have really gone either way. Both are great bikes. The Heritage had a bit more of the classic look I like but the hard painted bags and wheels on the Sport Glide are pretty awesome. Good review and ride safe.

New sub! Great review, I added fb, mini apes, Freedom Shield 12” smoke which keeps the fairing I owned an 883r and loved it. As for the brakes their ABS & work great 😎

I just traded in my 2020 iron 883, which was my first bike, for a leftover ‘21, low rider s. Got a great deal on the bike! I think anyway. But the difference in coming off an 883 to a 114 (1868cc) softail is pretty noticeable. Very noticeable, EXTREMELY noticeable!!! Even the 107 is a beast compared. I even test rode a dyna LR with the 103 stage 1 (sweet bike btw) and the stock 107 just blew it away! It’s not just the power delivery of the new softails either, it’s literally everything about them is far and away better! The ride quality, the handling, the suspension, the power, shifting, you name it, it’s better! I don’t care if you “prefer” the old school and think it’s better because it shook and vibrated and rattled and whatever, it’s NOT!! The new bikes are positively better bikes in every way! Does that mean you should get one and ditch your old Harley? Absolutely! No, I’m joking. You ride whatever you want to ride! Whatever makes you happy. There’s something to be said for the old school Harley! They are an awesome motorcycle! But for the $$$ I’m paying, I went with the new stuff. I test rode 5 bikes and I bought the one I liked the most. A 2021, Low Rider S, with a 114, and I couldn’t be happier with it!!

Test rode the Softail Low Rider S, and was impressed with it. The Dyna was definitely my favorite, but the Softail has grown on me, and I really like the new '22 gray color. And, I definitely feel the same about bikes, and not just Harleys. Ride the bike that makes you happy. What other people feel and think shouldn't matter. You're the one that's gotta ride it and live with and maintain it. ✌🏽🤓

I have rode the Sport Glide on a few demos. I was considering many bikes, Heritage, Street Bob, and Road King. After riding the Sport Glide, I was hooked! I thought the mini faring looked funny at first, but it has grown on me. Also, I love the Mantis rims. I am getting a Sport Glide in June. I am on the fence whether to get new w/matching color bags or get used.

The color matched bags look good. I think you get a pretty good deal on used Sport Glides, so I don't know that they'd be worth the $$. 🤔

Yeah, this time around, I think it was my favorite of the Softails I rode. Also the most utilitarian with the bags and the fairing (both of which remove really easily).

Looked like a nice demo ride! I really like the look of the Sport Glide. I prefer a Heritage Softail or a Road Glide over it but those are just better suited for how I ride.

It was a nice ride. 🤓 Like the headlight on the Fat Bob, the wheels on the Sport Glide are an acquired taste, and I personally love them. I also like how you can remove the bags and the fairing quickly to give the bike a different look. The color matched bags on the 2021 definitely move the needle for me on this one, and if I was in the market, I'd definitely consider it.

If you stripped off the bags and fairing and ignored the difference in power, what are the key rider experience differences between this and a Fat Boy?

Fat Boy has floor boards and not pegs, feels wider and IMO a bit heavier, too. But I also think the Fat Boy is a stable and more comfortable ride for those reasons. The versatility of being able to change the look of the Sport Glide is its biggest selling point, IMO. Take that away and I'd prefer a Fat Bob or even the Street Bob in terms of a "sporty" ride.

I'm 6' absolutely love my 2020 SG. I came from a 2012 Street Bob, wasn't sure about a bagger, and this is the perfect compromise. Added 10" risers, crash bars (highway pegs), taler windshield (10 1/2"), adaptive daymaker, and levers. Going to try running boards. I do wish it had more power. Was significantly more power than the 2012 Street Bob (96 ci) but absolutely next move is either stage 3 or 4. Most likely stage 3, I think stage 4 is new S&S engine

6' 3" and I fit better than I thought. Most likely buying one soon. I test rode it for a few miles and really enjoyed the ride and it handled well. I was shocked that fairing did anything for me.

No one mentions the indicators on the sport glide dont sit equally between the fairing! A design fault a quality control fault or a drunk design engineer. Harley Davidson I want an answer now and the problem fixed!
