As a Scot if “A Castle for Christmas” isn’t just some American lady in a shell of a castle which hasn’t had a roof, let alone liveable in at least 200 years being utterly miserable in the rain then it’s not the true Scottish Christmas experience.

In terms of protesting an author's decision to kill off a character, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle killed off Sherlock Holmes at one point and people were not having it. Many people cancelled their subscription to the magazine that was publishing the stories and allegedly people in London wore black armbands in mourning. I TOTALLY remember ‘A Mom for Christmas’, it’s one of those ones you forget you’ve seen until you watch it again as an adult! Another film (not Christmas related) that seems like no one else remembers is ‘The Mommy Market’ with Anna Chlumsky & Sissy Spacek. Retro reviews that I would be entirely up for - The Princess Bride, Mannequin, Overboard (the original version), The Muppet Christmas Carol, Strictly Ballroom (cracking Australian film).
