2021 Honda Civic Type R - POV Review - The BEST hot hatch, ever ?

Great job man! This car is a STUNNER! With cars losing their soul and the driving engagement that comes with a well made 6 speed manual as more and more cars go electric, this car will be a future collectable. You know your stuff! I own a 2019 Type R and LOVE it! At first was was put off by how quiet the car is but as I live with the car I began to appreciate it more especially as I drive the car in the mornings and at night up and down my neighborhood as well as cruising downtown near open air restaurants. Also, my passengers in the back seats are not getting headaches from the droning that can come from loud exhausts because it is our "family" car after all :) Again, well done! Years from now people will say, remember the 2021 Honda Civic Type R. Those were the days when people actually drove cars and the cars did not drive them.

Firstly, thank you for the compliment and subscribing!! It means A LOT! Secondly, you are SPOT ON!!! I told all my friends after driving this for some time this car will easily become a collectible! Even with it being turbocharged, it is truly the last of a dying breed! The driver involvement and engagement isn't matched by many on the road, and the little nannies it does have truly doesn't affect the visceral experience this car possesses. You have a GEM of a vehicle and my hope is you NEVER get rid of it! Sounds like you understand the meaning behind The Type R and I'm loving that it's your "family" vehicle. A perfect daily driver (for a true driver) if you ask me!!

Mines Black, understated but classic. Best daily driver I’ve ever had, super comfortable seats, awesome gear box and makes good power in a wide power band thanks to the turbo. 1. To disable the rev match, you can do that though the infotainment system menu. 2. Wheel hop is 95% cured with installing a solid rear engine motor mount.

Funny thing is alot of people don't like the stereo in this car. But my previous car was an Evo X with the base stereo. I think the Civic sounds amazing compared to the Evo stereo. And I even upgraded the speakers in that car .

That Evo stereo was pretty damn bad. A friend had one that swapped everything out! LOL. In comparison, this is amazing! In reality though, this stereo is almost a joke for such a new, sub 40k vehicle. However, I understand the stereo is probably last on the mind for its core buyer.

Yeah that car does need a manual e brake… like what do you do to brake in an emergency situation? Slam the brakes harder?
