At my age I normally wouldn't dig this type of car but real talk, this one is something special! The red and black interior is what really jumps off. I'm astounded at how quiet it is especially in 6th gear. But for a car this small and to have over 300 horses, I can tell that this thing will dip!

I’d say worth the price at msrp not worth the 50 k dealers are selling them for. Hell there is a limited edition near me being sold for 75k instead of 50k. I wanted a type r for a few years but couldn’t find one for a good price my option were 21 Sti limited or a used type r with 20-30k miles for same price. I went new Sti, learned a long time ago do not buy a used sports car.

The FK8 Honda Civic Type R (as seen in the video) is a favorite car among Honda fans in Malaysia, bearing the title BANGSA HONDA. If some men in Malaysia has a Honda (no matter what model the car is, old or new), the girls will stare at it. Honda Malaysia does not get the regular FK Civic Hatchback officially (except for the Type R as seen in the video), but a recond version from Japan was made available back then.

@@RelaxAndSmokeMeth waiting for that post-chip shortage depreciation and the current used market is insane, Type R's ranging from 15k-60k miles all with new MSRP asking prices + I expect some further depreciation with the upcoming 2022 Type R. If the upcoming Type R is substantially better than the already impressive current gen, that's an added factor to consider. I'm also expecting the rarity of my last generation Accord coupe with V6 and manual to appreciate even more than it has already. One thing I know I'll miss for sure is the incredible sound this naturally aspirated V6 produces.

Love this car. I own a 2019 I bought back in January 2019. They dealership called me January 3rd and said my Type R had just entered Production in Swindon. I was so happy they actually called me and told me it was entering the production line. No joke 2 weeks later, they called me and said it was ready to be picked up. It was the first time in my life ive ever bought a brand new car. Ive always bought used ones because of the prices. Anyways, Championship white 2019 and as of today only 17000 miles! Edit here.... Im in NC Winston Salem area. Thats why i was so surprised it was produced and shipped in 2 weeks!

300 or so horsepower is fast enough for me. I’ve been in a Zl1 camaro and Zr1 vette and those cars are fast but a bit too much. I drove an STI and was impressed how quick it was. I’d imagine the Type R FK8 and FL5 feels like that since they’re around 300+ hp. Thats just enough power to have fun and not get into too much trouble. Im not one of these 0-60 guys that have to have the fastest thing out there because at that point, you cant even enjoy the car anymore. As the old saying goes, "i’d rather drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow".

My wife and u got lucky by buying one last 2020 black Honda si coupes left last year and I've had all generations of si and this one is incredible. Especially on curves bow I'm sure the type R is way faster and handles better but I just can't stand the look of it😅😅 I think the 10 th generations si is one hottest body styles of any cars. It's not even a functional wing tho. Why put rear downforce on a car that's FWD? It's just for looks. But it'd be cool if they had a smaller one available. Like how the STI has it optional

A month or so ago... people were saying... eh the prices will come down... NOT! They stopped making this body style as of July 2021... plant closed down. The 2022 is a grandpa version of the car ... totally ruined the aggressive angry looks! R means Racing.. not Retired. I'm glad i kept my 2020 (the rarest of the bunch because they didn't make as many in 2020 and it has all the improvements over the 2017-2019 models.. 2021 is the same). Easily thee BEST car I have ever driven and I've driven many! Get one while you can because it seems in the past 3 weeks... a lot were sold.. esp. ones with under 12k miles on them.. and people payed top dollar but in my opinion the car is worth it. You would have to pay a lot more for some equal in factory performance... ;) All you need to do ... is jailbreak the car ($75 gadget plus $250) then Hondata OTS E30 map.. and presto 360 WHP in a 3150 lb car! Honestly... it's doing 100 - 160kph (draggy time) quicker than my stock M340i! CTR 5.03 secs ... M340i. 5.08 secs =D ... and that' s without disturbing any part on the car... keeping it stock and just modifying the ECU for E30.

Yeah these are gray cars for the money! Never thought a FWD car could be so fun! I'm sure with mods it'll be super cool! For 2022 are you referring to the Acura Integra Type R? THat's supposed to be a more refined version since it's under the Acura name

The Civic Type R looks awesome but its kind of pricey, why is that I wonder. It cost the same amount as if you bought a new 3 series or something in that range.

Maybe a base 3 series. But this is much more fun to drive and handles much better. It's actually a genuine sportscar. I think it's worth a solid $35k-$40k. Very good car. A base 3 series is nothing special. The M340i is the one to get and thats about $65k.

I personally like this one but used GtR are getting cheaper now and that Supra just came out starts at $40k is hard to resist,so many option to go fast and stays fast around $40k,used Shelby and GT350 are along with the cadi side too just in case,starting at around $45k with full brembo and sport package,😃

Does the Type R van have Vtec? I feel like the turbo power is what you feel. I've been n the older Si cars and the s2k. Vtec doesn't really do anything noticeable. Barely feel it lol
