@@snow-uq4gx Undeniably the C8 Corvette is a performance bargain, few could argue its impact on the sport car market. Definitely on par or even better than many more expensive exotics especially the z06, its certainly a game changer. I feel the that the Corvette is the exception, not the rule. I do own a C5 Corvette still, I love but its had its issues. Don't get me wrong if I could afford a new C8 I might pull the trigger on that, but again the exception. This is GMs icon car, let's hope they put their heart and soul into its engineering and QUALITY. All that great performance means nothing if it's not a reliable car. As for the rest of GMs line up, cars trucks, SUVs I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. As Scotty mentioned they basically gave the middle the middle finger to its customers on this class action lawsuit about defective wheels, and weaseled their way out of any responsibility. What kind of Sh*tty company does that? General Motors. They got away with it once, they'll do it again. Why would you trust the products from a company like that?

I would consider a civic si coupe if you want a manual or a Acura TL if you want SH-AWD or PAWS for better handling. The prelude checks a lot of unique boxes that aren't really catered to in modern vehicles. A manual, 2 Door, inline 4 with all wheel steering sounds like a lot of fun.

I've owned 3 Civic Si's and just got a Type R in August. It's not even comparable between them. This is a totally different beast. My only complaint is, While the wheels are made well and look good. They're just too big. 18's or 19's would have been fine. The issue with the 20 inch wheels is there is no wiggle room for thicker tires which this car needs. The Continentals that came with mine are like rubber bands. Don't fully understand the idea they had

As a Aerospace and Automotive mechanic i agree. 💯💯💯. Only thing GM didn't screw up is the Duramax 2500HD 6.6 turbo diesel. Honda is the most build car on the planet. I tried to buy one of the 600 cash. The EF and EG are also the most built platform. The S2000, NSX, and the Del Sol were low in numbers. I'm building a 500hp Del sol with all carbon fiber and lexan except front and $3k suspension on a k-series 6 speed lsd. Can't wait. 😎. I know people personally who's gotten way under 10's on a 30 yr old car. Japanese know what their doing. Quality over money. In Atlanta GA my buddies own Atlanta Speed Company specializing in Subi engines and platforms for FRS, BRZ, WRX, and STI's. My other buddy in GA builds Honda's. Congrats Scotty, I’ve got a 21 Type R (non LE) and love it. It sees the track once a month mostly at Sebring. It’s one of those few cars that you instantly like and then it grows on you even more over time. I take a set of 18” dry tires/wheels, jack & stands, folding table/chairs and all my gear in the back, feels like a mini race team getting to the track. Not a lot of cars out there that can haul a spare set of wheels and are decent on a track. I also have a 718 GT4 but would need a trailer/rig and that’s just a level of complex I ain’t interested in, so she stays protected in the garage.

Well, I am disgusted, because in the 13 years we have had it, I had to buy a wing mirror. It should have been strong enough to resist the Supermarket wall that my lovely wife was driving past. These supermarkets are doing the most horrid things, using reinforced bricks. The Civic does good mileage, is quite fast enough for safe driving, comfortable, plenty of space, and I hope it will continue to be a great car. We have a Mazda MX5 for sunny days, old but good, and a Toyota Hi-Ace Reimo campervan. I think we must like Japanese cars. Scotty, you have the best KZbin channel. Keep it up.

Though, Type-R's are limited compared to regular Civics.
