@@snow-uq4gx Undeniably the C8 Corvette is a performance bargain, few could argue its impact on the sport car market. Definitely on par or even better than many more expensive exotics especially the z06, its certainly a game changer. I feel the that the Corvette is the exception, not the rule. I do own a C5 Corvette still, I love but its had its issues. Don't get me wrong if I could afford a new C8 I might pull the trigger on that, but again the exception. This is GMs icon car, let's hope they put their heart and soul into its engineering and QUALITY. All that great performance means nothing if it's not a reliable car. As for the rest of GMs line up, cars trucks, SUVs I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. As Scotty mentioned they basically gave the middle the middle finger to its customers on this class action lawsuit about defective wheels, and weaseled their way out of any responsibility. What kind of Sh*tty company does that? General Motors. They got away with it once, they'll do it again. Why would you trust the products from a company like that?

I would consider a civic si coupe if you want a manual or a Acura TL if you want SH-AWD or PAWS for better handling. The prelude checks a lot of unique boxes that aren't really catered to in modern vehicles. A manual, 2 Door, inline 4 with all wheel steering sounds like a lot of fun.

I've owned 3 Civic Si's and just got a Type R in August. It's not even comparable between them. This is a totally different beast. My only complaint is, While the wheels are made well and look good. They're just too big. 18's or 19's would have been fine. The issue with the 20 inch wheels is there is no wiggle room for thicker tires which this car needs. The Continentals that came with mine are like rubber bands. Don't fully understand the idea they had
@eksentrysyti2 жыл бұрын
Better grip on the skidpad and for cornering, worse for the dragstrip and comfort. It's a compromise they made. And since the FWD drive isn't going to win drag races anyway, they made it into a lap time monster instead.

2 x S2000, Exige S and FK2R. I've owned all of these, they cannot match my old EG Civic ESi (only the SOHC VTEC) on a particular fast road, the Civic just inspires so much confidence and has outstanding visibility. The Exige is too track focused for bumpy roads, the FK2R too heavy and the S2000 too loose at the rear. Keep hold of that Civic!

I have a Honda Civic, it was a demonstrator back in 2009 and had a diesel engine and I thought it was a good buy. Well, I am disgusted, because in the 13 years we have had it, I had to buy a wing mirror. It should have been strong enough to resist the Supermarket wall that my lovely wife was driving past. These supermarkets are doing the most horrid things, using reinforced bricks. The Civic does good mileage, is quite fast enough for safe driving, comfortable, plenty of space, and I hope it will continue to be a great car. We have a Mazda MX5 for sunny days, old but good, and a Toyota Hi-Ace Reimo campervan. I think we must like Japanese cars. Scotty, you have the best KZbin channel. Keep it up.

For $20K less I snagged an '18 Aegean Blue. Best overall car I have owned, or even driven. Can only imagine how the LE drives with less unsprung weight, forged wheels, upgraded suspension and a few other tweaks Honda did. I'm good though. Keeping my FK8 for the long run. No other car combines a great daily and a manual track weapon quite so well. A few other hot hatches maybe. But none of these are the total package all considered.

I laugh at people who choose a STI over a Type R. I'm biased but the STI doesn't stack up. AWD from a dig is all they have anymore. Type R beats them in every single category. To be clear, that 2021 Type-R is 1\600 (yellow only) that were sent to the USA and is known as the Limited Edition. There are other Type-R's that are not yellow and not the actual Limited Edition. Though, Type-R's are limited compared to regular Civics. The yellow "LE" has a few tweaks from the standard Type-R, some sound insulation removed, lighter/forged wheels (as you mentioned), and some tweaks to the electronic adjustable suspension vs. the standard R. The production in England stopped around August. The 2022 will be made/assembled in the USA.
