I bought a 2019 civic sport and love it but if I had to trade it in for something this is probably what I’d get. Basically like a hybrid civic, looks like it drives incredibly smooth and is very quiet and gas efficient!

There's nothing out there that drives as good as a Honda. Such outstanding engineering and quality is baked into the chassis (foundation), steering and suspension. When driving it is so refined, polished and solid. It's hard to describe unless you go and experience it first hand. After you drive one everything else just feels inferior.

I have a 2020 EX - The Insight isn't luxury car quiet, but, its all relative...for a budget hybrid, it's a tremendous value. I like that he kept it in Sport Mode - its surprisingly peppy (for a Hybrid) in Sport Mode. EV mode is useless, really. I LOVE my Insight
@JJ-cg3rn3 жыл бұрын
In my opinion the Insight (EX especially) is one of the best values out there. The fact that it is a hybrid and gets 55-60 mpg’s makes it just that much better. Honda should be selling a lot more of these, I don’t understand it myself. Compared to the Civic or even an Accord, I feel it’s a better value. Just my opinion...

When do you think the Insight will switch from the "WhatsApp" startup chime to the new startup chime that sounds like Mitsubishi's startup chime?

About how fast did you get this car up to on the highway? I commute to work daily 70% of the time on the highway and in my car now I do anywhere from 80 to 90 because it's so early and no nobody's on the road. Would this car struggle doing 80 to 85 on the highway every day???

@Iegend173 жыл бұрын
They aren’t the same tbh. I owned a 2018 accord 2.0t and I loved it but the insight is completely. It actually drives better than the accord hybrid 🤭 I think the insight is amazing. The accord is bigger if you have friends and kids. But insight is perfect. Fit and finish is amazing and it’s a well put together. It feels solid and quick for a hybrid. Faster than the 1.5t accord

DO NOT BUY THIS FUCKING LEMON!!!!! I purchased the 2022 Insight Touring package three weeks ago. I purchased it for a daily driver and for road trips around Oregon, specifically to Mt Hood where my family has a tiny ski cabin. With guests in the vehicle, it is unable to achieve and maintain highway speeds without the engine redlining with any more than one person in the car. It can barely make it up the 2-3% graded area, and I was terrified to try the 6% graded area. It felt INCREDIBLY unsafe and underpowered. My brother and I both thought something was slipping. The engine revs dramatically and almost no power is sent to the wheels. I have no idea how I can use it to carpool. If you know the Portland area, it struggles to get up the west hills of through the tunnel up to Skyline on the way to Beaverton with just me (155 lbs). If I had two people or more in the car, I would feel horribly unsafe. I took it to the shop and they said it was working as designed. This is completely unacceptable! If you live in a completely flat area or only drive on city streets, yeah it will probably be fine. If you have any hills whatsoever, you are fucked.
