This was excellent. Makes me want to take a ride out there.

I’ve got the 2022 model, I’ve had it 4 months and put 3500 miles on it. I’ve put the taller screen with a deflector on top. At 80 mph I’m getting mid 50s to the gallon at 60 mph I’m getting 80 to the gallon, at a constant 50 mph I’m getting 110 mpg. On a trip with motorways and a roads I’m averaging 78mpg. Please note that these are British gallons which are bigger than US gallons. The bike is standard transmission and brilliant

Really good information, just the kind of thing I wanted to know about the bike. I have a new 2021, manual, like yours but haven't made any trips yet. Beautiful trip photos.

Take the rear seat off if not going to carry a pillion and you can fuel up without removing luggage - there is a "cargo" plate available to replace it or make your own! I bought a second hand rear seat on Ebay & cut a D slot in it (lock down project ) works great! !

I have a 2021 standard transmission. Mine came with a Madstad windscreen and I'm getting over 60 mpg on the highway at 65 mph I'm thinking the windscreen has much to do with improving fuel consumption. Aerodynamics above 20 mph are crucial. If you are on a bicycle the moment you hit 20 mph it gets WAY harder to pedal. The power requirements above 20 go up exponentially. Maybe try a taller screen. I wouldn't have bought a Madstad but having ridden one I can vouch for them....very good quality and wind protection. You can choose the size of the screen based on your height too

Hi, which brand/model of tires you used during this trip? TIA.
@shooter-vx7xy Жыл бұрын
I believe those were the stock tires. Not sure what they were. Google could tell you, though.

Hi I have 2017 manual transmission I don’t use 6th gear unless I’m doing 60mph or more which I find keeps the bike at optimum torque I got 84 miles per gallon 2 up with luggage on 400 mile trip 3 to 4 thousand rpm through gears cheers Andy
@shooter-vx7xy Жыл бұрын
Wow. The manual says you should be in 6th at around 36mph. Yeah, you're definitely keeping it in the powerband.

Is there a way to snake the USB cable out of the frunk to the handlebars to power a phone or GPS? I've been trying to buy an NC750x for months. Been looking since April, put a deposit down in June at the only dealer around who says they are going to get one, but Honda since has delayed it twice. Now it's delayed until Nov. 30th. Almost bought a Triumph Tiger 900 GT instead, but I think I'm going to tell the dealer tomorrow I'd rather wait for the Honda.

The frunk will just close over the cable, dont need to get too fancy

Did you test ride the tiger? I hear good things about the newer ones. I just worry about it's longevity. I want a bike that's gonna last 100k+ miles with regular maintenance. So far it's between vstrom 650 and the nc750x but the tiger is a wild card for me.

@@keldonator I bought a 2023 Tiger 900 GT Low last month. I like it, but only bought the Tiger because the dealer couldn't get the nc750x. Shipping charges are terrible.

@@jeffrielley920 The tiger has way more power, did you test ride a nc750x? How are you liking that tiger so far?
@jeffrielley9202 жыл бұрын
@@keldonator Not only did I not test ride an NC750x, I've never seen one in real life. The dealership is supposed to have one at the end of November, but it's been delayed so many times I gave up. I'm happy so far with the Tiger. It's top heavy compared to my last bike. Dropped it trying a U-turn going up hill but just unnoticeable cosmetic damage.
