I agree. Just bought a 2021 for plowing with foot shift. Salesman thought I was nuts.

Just yesterday I actually ordered this exact model and color, down side is i have to wait til mid December for it to arrive. Was almost goin to get a blue kodiak 450 elsewhere because I was anxious but I dont want a cvt or have to worry about a belt getting wet so I am being patient. I cant wait for mine to arrive.

Have the previous model, which imo is slightly better looking, but this new one has better ground clearance..the digital fuel gauge, not that fond of prefer the floating mechanical one.. anyway,good luck with it

2 things. #1 that solid rear axle is going to roll u over if u do those sideway spins in the summer or hit a hidden thing. The independent rear will also so get ready!! 2. That foot pedal may be a problem with big boots like I wear when I snow plow in the winter. What so you think?
@mdh69772 жыл бұрын
Just my opinion, but I got this in part for that solid rear axle... very reliable and it power slides through corners at higher speeds with no problem in all conditions, and is more capable of towing meat out of the bush than most bigger units...

Nice review. Hope the schools project was a success. Do you see any down sides to the straight axle? I will be riding mostly trail. Also. My wife may be riding it…is the foot shift really stiff? Just trying to decide if I need to spend all the extra money for an automatic or ES. Last question….on a 420 is electric steering not needed?
@neatstuff873 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the project was a success. I don’t see any down sides to the straight axle for trail riding. You might lose a couple inches of ground clearance. The foot shifter is not too stiff. It is easy to steer in 2WD, the steering is a little stiff in 4WD but you only use 4WD when needed.
