Bless you sir you were the only person whose video I watched who specifically said not to mess with the macOS base , I almost deleted it and messed up my computer , I was having trouble redownloading macOS Catalina because there was no disk ; I did not realize I needed to completely wipe the data on the HD disk and not mess with the MacOS base . I have a big question. I just recently sold my macbook air. And I didn't follow the 3-steps ahead of signing out. I just pushed "command +r" and the formated the HD and reinstalled. While the new used have issues with installing or signing in on a a new apple-id?

Hold power button for the m1 chip

If it won’t go into recovery mode and it brings you to your account instead. Follow these steps! :) Hold the Power Button until the Apple logo shows up with some text under it. Then hold Command and R. While you’re holding Command and R don’t let go of the Power Button and Command and R until you see a different screen. You should get the Recovery Screen now. If you didn’t get the Recovery Screen then press Option and you’re good to go :)

Unfortunately, this video did not work for me and now have to take my MacBook to the store. I have a 2016 MacBook. Mac HD icon did not populate when it came time to reinstall MacOS. I played your video several times before going into this step. Praying that I don't have to pay anything to get the HD.
