I just bought a 2023 Elantra SEL with the convenience package. I really like all about the car and this is a nice video. However, I disagree with the CVT portion. I had a Subaru Legacy previously with a CVT and accelerating was much smoother in the Subaru even at 12 years old. I am not saying it is a bad CVT, but it is not the best either.

Huh, I'm surprised to read that. I've driven Subaru CVTs and their performance isn't noticeably better to me, certainly. And I'd be shocked if Subaru CVTs have become worse in the last 12 years. Maybe the test car I drove had a particularly nice CVT, or perhaps something is a touch off with yours. Or maybe we just notice different things when driving. Either way, I respect your opinion, especially as an owner, and sorry the CVT isn't as nice as you wished.

@@viewsonvehicles I LOVE this car. Im really impressed. At first, I wanted the Jetta, but since it was sold out, I decided to get the second best thing (in my opinion). Im highly satisfied with this purchase. Sometimes it makes me feel like im in a $40k+ luxury vehicle.

I officially liked this video before even watching it to the end. I did this because the reviewer is the only person on KZbin that I have heard actually pronounce the name brand "Hyundai" correctly. Sounds like a very simple basic thing, but very other KZbinr I have heard, butchers the name Hyundai to one degree or another. I have heard "Hondday" (raitis rides), and "Hunndye" )from just about everyone else). Thanks for a great car review, and doing something as simple as pronouncing a name correctly.

Actually, I came to the comments to say how the way the reviewer pronounced it was grating. The company name is pronounced HUN-DAI, not HI-YUN-DAI, and the only reason I know that is because that is how the company pronounces it themselves. Here is the link to the company's own presentation of the release of the new Elantra. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGm1homvlK2ZfZY Everyone from the CEO himself through to the PA announcer all pronounces it HUN-DAI, not HI-YUN-DAI. That said, excellent review, very well done.

I have the same car. Crazy MPG on the highway. On the interstate I get 40 to 50 MPG in smart mode at 75 MPH. When traveling on the highway at 60 MPH i get 50 to 55 MPG when in smart mode. The best mileage Ive achieved is 59.7 on a 150 mile trip doing 60 mph. Great mileage for a non hybrid.
