Yes! When I was less financially responsible and racked up my cc debt, I ended up with about an 80-90% credit utilization. I then spent a good 8 months paying it all down completely from two CC’s, about $17k, and my score which was hovering around mid 600’s, jumped to high 700’s by the time I paid it all off. Now I’m sitting pretty in the 800’s, even hit 830 last time I applied for a new CC (still got denied tho.. USbank lol)

I understand that signing on to someone elses credit card as an authorized user will boost your score, but personally i would never do that even if my score sucked it just sounds like a potential problem. If it takes a while it takes a while. The fast credit score smacks of fast weight loss tactics they might work but actual habits are what work long term don't buy stupid shit you can't buy with actual money is a good plan. To get your score up getting your utilization at or below 20% under 10% would be better and with all your cards this with each payment on all your builds history this will increase your score but it will take time. I have one credit card for less than a year and my FICO is 750. I just graduated from a secure card. I also pay my statement balance in full every month. It will take time for my score to go up because my credit history needs more time to build up. I can probably increase it faster by getting another card. Which will increase my utilization and my credit limits.

Different banks and cards report to different ficos , some use trans / some use Experian. Etc etc But I know for sure capital one does report for added users. As well as Home Depot , so most likely the one your on. Also does. You just need to find out which fico to check. Plus fico won’t move much without something else like a secured card in your name or a car or something else

Hi! Really cool videos, I found a lot of information here, thank you! I do have a question, what if I become a authorized user on a good card (good history, big amount of money) and then, for x reason we have a late payment, of course that will be reflected on my credit history, but, what if I am being removed from that account, I am still going to have that late payment on my history? Another question that I have, how long I can wait to remove an authorized user from my credit cards? Thank you!

Does putting your credit card payments on auto pay help your credit score
@SuaveLlaveBlog
@SuaveLlaveBlog 3 жыл бұрын
I don't see why it shouldn't. Since it's automatically paying it on time you are not going to miss on payments, no missed payments means you look good to the creditor. The only down side is if you have automatic payment and your checking does not have enough funds at the time then the payment may not go through and it'll hurt you. I suggest keep auto pay on but also have alerts on your bank with payments, cash in and low balance reports.
