I have a 2021 D-Max and it’s a great Ute. This has the 7” screen and I want to know how stop the warning screen every time I start. This is really annoying and I just want it to start normally as I expected it to.

Nice to see wireless apple car play. This is a must have for my next new car. Unfortunately the Kia Sorento does not have it yet.

Trying to get the regular radio play at the same time as the CarPlay maps are showing. ATM the radio switches off the moment I choose the CarPlay. How do I get both to work together?

We had the same issue - unfortunately you need to go back out, select the radio and then go back into CarPlay. I did find though it often only happens with Waze or applications that want to also control audio.

@@CarExpertAus just figured it out!! Up the top if you tap the screen you get extra option. The AV option was off. Tapped it to turn on AND BOTH WORK NOW!!!

Did you crank up the tunes? The one I hired wasnt capable of loud but did do distortion quite well.

Good, but not amazing sound system. The X-Terrain has the additional speakers overhead.

Have just got my new Isuzu D Max X Terrain, do I need to install a particular app on my android phone before I start to work out all the functions?

I have an SX (small screen radio) delivered in March 2021. Android worked on my older Phone, Moto G5 although when it was running maps for example it was impossible to figure out radio stations. I have asked my dealer to see why my Moto Edge Android 11 USB3 phone won't work on my radio when older phones do, as no staff member has an Android 11 phone so they can't test independently. BUT it works just as the old phone did on a Jan 2022 demo SX ute in the show room same phone same cable maybe the same radio. Two weeks ago and no response from Isuzu on what they will do to remedy. Anyone else had this issue

Paul, have you had any connectivity issues using Android Auto?

All good on Android. We only tested Android briefly though with our Samsung Galaxy S20.

Android Auto is really buggy. Difficult to get to work in the first place and once you finally get it to work it drops out after 5-10 minutes. I have tried 3 different phones and various (New) cables. Reported it to the dealer and although they got it to go almost straight away in one vehicle they could not get it to work at all in another with the same phone and cable.

@@markliddle6198 mate, I have tried my Samsung S10 and S8 with different cables and I get the same result. Isuzu tested Android Auto in my car during its first service and 'apparently' they couldn't fault it. Will be taking the car back to them in the new year. Had the car now for 3 months and the constant cutting in and out is driving me nuts.

My android Auto stops working after a couple of hours, some days just wont start. Tried 4 different cables including expensive ones. Add to that the fact you cant turn off all the annoying "safety" features. Only every time you start. Upgrade is for Auto only.

Can you do a video going into the settings? Most BT-50 reviews show on the drivers screen where the clock is that it's a range till empty, can the D-Max have that also?

Yep you can change what’s shown on the screen. From memory that portion of the screen changes depending on whether doors are open.

Covered absolutely everything except the basics, we got 1 these & had to come here to work out how to turn radio off. This guy covers everything except the very basics like radio on/off 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Why do you always mention Apple before Android? Apple has less than half the share that Android shares of smartphones? Yes there are Apple fanboys but the brand is shrinking in significance. Even alphabetically Android precedes Apple. Does Apple pay you extra to mention them first?
