The Kawasaki Brute Force ATV is a 750cc powerhouse that offers a lot of features on top of the grunt you want from an ATV. There are several ATV manufacturers out there such Polaris, Yamaha and Honda but the Kawasaki is well worth comparing them with. The only thing I don't like about this ATV is the basic headlights and filling up the coolant or water is difficult.

Kawasaki ATV seem to be about as 'bullet proof' as an ATV can get,.. I went to buy one, back in 2009, and my dealer of choice, had either 'lost' the Dealership for Kawi's or gave it up, as they are also a Can Am dealer too,..so I bought the 500 Outlander Max. Yes, Ozzie, extra lighting is pretty much essential isn't it ( or , aren't they ) . Good short review, I hope you get a chance to re-visit this one in a year or so. Thanks for this one!

Govt has pass laws because a few are unfortunately killed on ATVs but has no concern about the 1000s of people that die each year thru smoking related diseases. Tax $$$$$ must be very important.

@@alittlebitofeverything5090 Honestly that’s a tougher answer than it would seem to be. I currently have a 22 Suzuki KQ 750 . I guess overall I’d have to choose either the 2012 BF 750 or the Grizzly 700. If money was no object it’d be a new XT-P Can Am Outlander 1k. The Polaris had a super smooth ride and great power but just isn’t built well . None of them are perfect , but the 2012+ Brute Forces are a fantastic blend of overall good quality, big bore feeling power and a decent ride . This KQ is silky smooth and built well but soft clutching and lazy low end .

Obviously price is always an issue but very few people buy Kawasaki quads mules are more common don't know weather it would be robust enough for getting stags of the hill 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

G day Ozzie sounds like the fuel economy is pretty poor on that bike I have a Honda 500 which is manual use it every day on dairy farm probably use it 2 hours a day fuel lasts at least 5 days with a smaller tank capacity the auto bikes do use alot more fuel. Also have you had a look at the Benelli Lupo rifles yet.

The accessories you can put on them nowadays is fantastic, ive seen one guy fitted his out with a thermal spotter and joystick setup and monitor on his handle bar as well as a spotlight as well….made his own cradle for his firearm for quick access and ammo can on the other side….he made it all to custom for his own needs even to the point of putting a small fridge on the back lol and of course light bars that can turn night into day 😁

The problem is, people treat ATVs like toys, let kids ride them, ride without helmets and neck protection etc and then injury and death rates keep going up. I can totally understand that they're an indispensable tool for a lot of farmers and landowners but there has to be some acknowledgement of the harm they can cause. The rollover bar laws might not be the answer but I can understand a government feeling like they need to take some sort of action. Thanks for the review mate, would be useful on my block for sure.

There is a very comprehensive report done by nsw. The safest people on quads are the young and people using them recreationally, even at speed. Most deaths are older farmers. As a farmer having used quads for years I completely get why. Farmers are "doing stuff" when on a quad. Such as checking a fence line, rounding up cattle ect, but not looking at the wombat hole or whatever your about to go over. They are also as a rule not very safety conscious. Myself included, then their is my 80 father who is more recless than me. This is stock standard. Most deaths are low speed roll overs where the rider gets pined. Most farmers I know have swapped to side by sides because they are more more useful. Quads are great for hunting or rounding up cattle and a lot cheaper, but superseded for most farming purposes. They are also less stable on hills.

@@Christoph1888 Ok I may have mischaracterised the groups getting injured, thanks for correcting me. I was nearly killed by a rollover ATV as a kid so that probably skews my thinking. By treating like toys I meant not tacking precautions rather than recreational use - The point remains that gear is a big part of using them safely and if people won't wear it then things like rollover bars start making more sense from a government perspective.
@Christoph1888

@@jameshealy4594 Your thinking like a dirt bike rider 😎 Check out the report but it was barn door old guys getting pined and suffocating while stuck under 400kg. I've rolled a few times all at around 5-10kmh. Dads been in ICU from a roll-over. He was low speed and pined. Don't think gear would help that. The role over bar makes all the difference, we all have them here in Vic, it compulsory for employees and they cause no issues. They just look like shit and cost way too much. Ozy, who I love, clearly isn't speaking from experience. But we live hilly country. But i agree gear is very important just not practical in a farming sense.
@jameshealy4594
@jameshealy4594 3 жыл бұрын
@@Christoph1888 That makes sense as I've been riding bikes of various sorts my whole life haha. I can see how that's a difficult thing to solve and the bars sound pretty reasonable to me, the point I was really trying to make originally is that there's a clear need to improve safety and something people don't have to remember/be willing to use might well be the best option. Cheers for all the explanations, maybe some varieties of chest/back armour could help a little for those looking for something? By providing a bit of support for your torso it might help give some breathing space by supporting some of the weight? Nobody should take my word for it though as I'm clearly no expert haha. Honestly a bar sounds like a better solution anyway and I don't really see it getting in the way that much - you shouldn't be riding low under big limbs anyway!

This is another area the Chinese will dominate. The CFMOTO range of quads is excellent they are high quality unike most Chinese products and are very well equiped CFMOTO is currently in partnership with KTM and was tied up with Kawasaki for a few years.

Chinese dirtbikes, quads, atvs all suck they are terrible quality and break easily because they are made with cheap parts, the real ones who are dominating are Polaris and Honda and Yamaha with great quality quads and atvs that are as tough as nails

@@sebastianleech6604 you haven't had a good look at the CFMOTO product then. I agree that Chinese ATV's and bikes are absolute junk in the main but CFMOTO have certainly broken the mould with their product. Most Quads are assembled in the US with Chinese built parts and if you have a close look are not great quality. The CFMOTO is a quality unit using quality parts like a Canadian built CVT unit. I had a good look over them at an ag show a couple of years ago and was amazed that there was actually a Chinese product I would be happy to buy.

@@sebastianleech6604 start turning spanners on them and you will soon see you are paying for a name and different colour. There are so many shared components or components supplied by the same Chinese manufacturer it's a joke. The biggest problem with them all as far as reliability goes is definitely the operator. Ride on mowers are the same with people having a strong allegiance with a certain brand and bagging another eventhough they have the same engine and transmission and most other components.

I have a cfmoto atv and it has been great its a cforce 500 I paid $5200 for it new I've put 1500 miles on it with 0 problems it comes with 2500lb winch 4 wheel drive lock in differentials and it's a beast I live in the woods in Missouri I've had it everywhere creek bed crawling mudding and trailing played a bunch in the snow this winter it's a blast people talk about cfmoto like it's terrible but I will have to disagree I fully believe if you service your machine on time and take care of it it will take care of you I couldn't pass it up considering that all the other brands of atvs that are 500cc or above start at $10,000 or more so the price point was great for cfmoto and there atvs come with all the bells and whistles for half the price of other brands to each there own but don't knock it until you try it lol

As always a well presented and informative review. I will never own an ATV and therefore the safety issues for or against new laws are of little importance. However having ridden horses through bush land, the horse does not give a rats ass about the rider being hung up on obstacles, one would hope that future laws will not require the horse to have a roll cage fitted
