Great review. I think you’re spot on with the common complaints after reading all the different forums. I eventually decided to go the Grizzly 700 route (15months/6500km) solely due to the belt whine. Unfortunately Grizzly and lots of power will never be in the same sentence. Lol

Great review! I bought a new 750 brute in 2008 first year EFI system and it’s been a great machine still runs bullet proof today! Pretty much everyone that buys a new atv always take off the stock junk tires, I put a puck board 1/4” heavy poly full length skid plate on mine and fender extenders around the wheel wells to keep the mud flicking up off the tires. Dalton clutch spring kit on the primary is also a great upgrade. Happy wheeling!

Hey man ! good video, I think you hit on all the key things, positive and negative. There is a reason why they haven't changed much over the years, the same way Yamaha hasn't changed much with the grizzly, they are great machines. Now saying that, he Brute has much more power over my grizz (even with my BF sticker on the box haha) But everything has pro's and cons, there is no such thing is "the best", whats best for you may not be whats best for me, so great job on the video, your honesty was evident, and I'll look forward to the next one.

I rode a 2006 Brute for a long time. They literally haven't changed anything other than some beefier racks, different rims, and front plastics. They were putting those junk tires on them in 2005. My main gripe about it was how top heavy they felt, and how narrow the handlebars were. Oh, I just saw they put EPS on them. That would have been nice. They really need to do something and update them, or lower their price.

In 2008, they got fuel injection, in 2012 EPS and 12.5 more HP. 2012 was the last update other then BNG. They also lowered them over the years to handle better just with softer spring/shocks.

It's my second day riding it and I did hear some noises which you confirmed were normal... being me with ocd I notice and overtime everything but you reassured me that I may have made a good decision I did go from kawasaki to can am and wanted to go back with kawasaki because of the power and the ride ...being a 2013 yes it's older but better then an 07 I just hope I have good luck with this one because I ride in -30 weather ..you did confirm the lights stock are CRAP 💩 but led spot lights fix that ..easy 60$ my only worries are I hope I don't blow it up and the rear oil bathed breaks which need to be fixed on the bright side the dealership installed a branch new winch and cleaned out the radiator so far I'm happy with it till thr dealer fixes the oil bathed breaks I just use my front disc breaks(very touchy) thank you for this review it does bring some peice of mind and I enjoyed your video

Whats even crazier about the brute. Its literally been the same bike since they swapped the plastics on the prairie and came out with the 650 and 750i. It literally is the same drivetrain and frame since like 2005. Only changes they made were efi, and the shocks. In 09 they upgraded the 750brutes hp from 49-56ish by swapping the 650 heads on for better flow.

Great review! I forgot to mention the skid plate in my review video, and I even had it written down in my notes!😮🥴 I agree completely. The stock skid plate does not even protect the outer edges of the main section of the frame bars! Tires.... stock suck for sure. But all the Japanese brands have put crap Dunflops or Duros on their machines at one point or another. I think Honda and Suzuki still do. It's how they get their advertised curb weights under 700 pounds. Any decent tire takes the weight up over 700, and there's some unwritten rule among the Japanese brands that they can't go over 700 pounds. Performance and power.....yes, the Brute is amazing. It's even better than what the spec sheets say. The Brute, Grizz, and Kingquad are all rated very close to 50 HP, but anyone who has ridden all three machines knows the Brute is in a whole different league. I think Kawie is a bit on the conservative side when it comes to advertising what this engine really does. As for the clutch comments......This is the first time I've heard about any shutter at 20 mph. These clutches should be smooth as a baby's bottom. If there's vibration in your's, the belt may be a bit loose, or your weight ramps are not balanced. The cold knocking on your wife's Brute is the spider shoes in the primary. The dealer you talked to was completely wrong. Those little nylon shoes get worn down over time and make a small gap between the spider and the moveable sheave towers which makes that knocking sound. When the clutch and the nylon warms up, they expand and the gap is reduced. All the dealer has to do is replace those shoes. They are about $13 per shoe, and there's 8 of them.

My buddy has a brute 750. The first time I ride with him and he saw my cf Moto 800xc he laughed and said I won’t keep up with him. I was on his ass the whole ride. The thing I love about his Brute is how light it is. Yes my quad has a little more power but it does not ride like the Brute. His Brute just floats over obstacles on the trail where as if hit them as fast as he does on my 1000 lb machine there would be a disaster happening on the trail. If I rode solo the majority of the time I would trade my 800xc in to get a Brute but I bring my 10 year old son with me almost everytime I go out and you can’t put a price on that. Why they don’t put the led tyrex lights in these is beyond me. They are direct replacement. No alterations or wiring changes needed. The quad should be $10,000 CAN max, nothing has changed forever. There’s no tech at all. The front storage cover is cheap garbage. The fender storage is also stupid. The shape of the seat is stun, makes putting a limped storage seat on the back useless. The “new” brute is just cosmetic. Same solenoid clutch and 4x4 system. The whine sound is bad also. As for power cuts disappointing for a vtwin. Once you go from 25” to 27” heavier tires, it loses all power. The bike is too narrow, so you need 2” lift and 1” wheel spacers.

@@BruteforceExplorerwhat point am I wrong? The cheap latching front storage cover? The rubber net fender pocket? The fact it’s 15 year old parts that has had no R&D and this should only become cheaper over time, the gutless power for what it is? The fact that it comes with light 25” tires to make it feel like it got any power at all? Adding 27” kills the bike all together. I know, I did it. The tyrex sxs headlights are LED’s that fit perfectly. They couldn’t even do that to justify price increase. They can’t change the rims to justify a price increase. The solenoid engine brake on the clutch and 4x4 actuators are known for failing and that’s why there’s aftermarket manual options. The new plastics look nice. But it’s overpriced and will not sell.

@@dcsales2007you’re right dude… I love a brute force but they really should be selling for like 8k usd now. Bigger tire issues can be solved with a clutch kit btw. And throw on a light bar !

As the neighborhood ATV mechanic, I would NEVER recommend a BF. By far the worst piece of junk I’ve worked on in my rural neighborhood. I had it so much fixing things the owner bought a new can am. But if you want awesome performance and you’re going to work on it or keep up with it, it’s bad @$$ machine when it runs. But not necessary for farmers or hunters, only trail riders will likely appreciate it.

The majority of buyers just trail-ride their ATV's no need for a metal skid plate, I have customers that bought 800+ cc ATVs and rarely use the 4x4 or the winch!!
