Anyone that has owned these machines at any point knows it doesn't need more power. It needs aftermarket suspension, ground clearance, teryx led headlights stock, more storage, and better stock tires. That's all carry on 💯

Over the past 15 years I’ve owned one of every brand (except the Chinese brands) and they all have their strong points but I keep coming back to the Brute. It’s literally whichever one makes you the happiest or works the best for how you ride. That being said, as much as I love the Brute I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone who would ask me, lol. I’ve ordered Teryx LED lights so I can see properly, radial tires because the stock ones are so bad, just ordered stage 3 Elka shocks so it will handle properly and be halfway comfortable. Its worth it to me in the end but the average person doesn’t want to have to spend a bunch of money after buying one just to make it on par with the competition. The Grizzly is fantastic out of the box and the same is true of others and that’s where the Brute falls short. The Brute could be so great if they would pay a little attention.

Great comment! I agree 100% that Kawasaki needs to show the Brute some love.. im glad you recognize the complexities of personal preference on ATVs.. We've dumped big money into quads that others don't like because sometimes an ATV just fits you right..

Never rode the 750 Brute but have rode a 650 Brute for many hour’s. Honestly I have no complaints with the machine. From hard pack, hills, mud, gravel, water, sand and even the track it performed just perfect for a all around sporty trail quad. No mechanical problems of any kind. The most memorable thing was it’s very nice low end power that was always ready to go with just a little more throttle. Also, it felt just extremely quiet, tight and solid. No squeaking, rattles, bangs or any other strange noises. Everything just felt right. I’ve rode plenty of other 4x4’s but the Brute just felt right everywhere. A high quality solid machine no doubt that is more impressive than a spec sheet would ever tell. Impressive trail ATV through and through.

I'm 51, been riding since 7ish. I've had a lot of different ATVs, and when me and the buddies are sipping on a refreshing adult beverage while discussing past ATVs we owned , I always bring up my 06 650i brute force because it was my favorite utility quad. I have nothing bad to say about this quad other than its way past due for a major suspension upgrade from the factory. To me, good suspension and handling is more important than HP. I recently purchased a "less reliable " sportsman 1000S just because of its ride quality, when I'd much rather had a " much more reliable " kawasaki, Suzuki, or honda

I recently sold my 2020 Brute Force non eps for a 2022 sportsman 850 ultimate trail. And man I miss that low end power the Brute has. If kawasaki updated the ride and handling of the Brute I would seriously think about selling my sportsman and going back to kawasaki. Yea the Sportsman is faster in the top end, but that top speed isn't really usable on most trails.

So my experience ur calling everything over 15 mph top end lmao the brute is not a match or even close to the 850 ho Polaris had both and can tell u the brute does make alot of torque but the lighter front end is what makes it feel sportier and faster to 15 but in a drag it legit like 6 to 7 bikes

I sold my 2016 non eps brute for a 2021 sportsman 850 uiltimate trail and i defiantly know what you mean. Part of me feels the kawi hits harder off the line and has more torque, but the other part of me feels the sportsman actually has more power and torque. I think you don't feel it as much on the sportsman because of the softer/better suspension and longer wheel base(i think) which prevents the front tires from lifting up every time you hit the gas like, unlike the kawi

My plastic is pretty beat up from the 50in trails what's been really good machine I also have a 2002 Kawasaki prairie 400 with almost 5,000 miles on it and she's still going. Bought a BruteForce 2 months ago. I upgraded the rims and tires from 12 to 14 and 25 to 26. It looks great and ground clearance is now 11 inch so it is good. I had a rincon 680 before. Obviously the brute has more power. However I'm looking to upgrade the suspensions as turning quickly I could easily flip over, which was not the case with the rincon. Otherwise very happy, more power, better in mud, great look. However total cost 22 000k$ CAD, including new rims and tires, winch, rear seat, front bumper.

I had a 650 Prairie and a 2019 Brute. Great quads, no doubt. My big complaint was the 4x4 system. I quickly learned to put it in 4wd before going into a puddle, because it can be reluctant to engage 4x4 if the bike is not actually moving. And the diff-lock lever was annoying when you needed it for a longer period of time, and a real pain in the butt if you were stuck and needing to get off the quad and push.

There’s no doubt the Brute is a slugger of an ATV , I wouldn’t hesitate to own one but anymore price vs features has almost completely ruled it out as a option for more people, I would strongly consider a mid range option but a 1000cc option at this point would probably put it so far out of range for most.

50k is pretty nuts. My friend has a Suzuki lt250 4x4 that has 65000kms. All that's ever been done to it is ball joints tie rods and bushings burns a little oil but that's it. I worked at a kawi dealer from 2007- 2012 my dad was the service manager at the same dealer from 2005-2014 and can say we never had many issues. We did see more Honda fortrax quads than any other the rear diffs would always explode and the older polaris 2 strokes for the top ends getting replaced. I remember when the kvf/prairie line up replaced the old klf/bayou line up. then they renamed the prairie line up to the brute force by just changing the plastics and they ran them side by side on the show floor. Kawi used to have some serious offerings. They had a 300 brute a 550 a 650 and the 750. Plus they had the Bayou series from 185-400cc the prairie was a 300 a 360 a 400 a 600 and a 750. They never produced all there displacements during the same years tho which makes it quite hard to decipher parts numbers and part interchange between the machines from 2004-2012.

I was just trying to note they had serious options that noone else had. Yamaha had some good options. I wish they would remake the 250 timberwolf 4x4 with a belt drive and slightly smaller frame. If they aimed it at kids like the 90-125cc grizzly or polaris sportsman 90-110 they would make a killing. Guys would buy them as pasture bikes, for there kids small work bikes for there wives ect. Or atleast a Chinese brand could come up with a 200cc 4x4 youth sized machine. It would start opening up the small cc market again.

They haven't really done any significant upgrades since 2012, but they're still pretty comfortable.. If you drive them right, CVT transmission with belts are pretty reliable especially on ATVs.. Use the right gear and don't put monster tires on them and they'll last a long time.. I prefer the big single cylinders in the Grizzly or King Quad but the Brute is a really good option too.. It's just a little thicker in the mid section because of the twiTwin... I'd recommend sitting on a few machines to see what fits you best

The Rubicon is good. We did a comparison with a Sportsman awhile back. The Rubicon doesn't do anything particularly well or even better than any other option at a comparable price, but it's built like a tank and doesn't have a CVT which what makes most Rubi riders choose it.

@@Mr.Safety. Continuously Variable Transmission aka Belt Drive. The Honda's have a great reputation for reliability. I personally am not a fan of the their DCT or Dual Clutch Transmission. It works great on the motorcycles but on an ATV it always feels like it's in the wrong gear. You can shift it by the push of a button or get a "manual" and shift it by a foot lever but it's still clutchless. If you want want something very reliable and a little more fun, I'd consider the Suzuki KngQuad 500 or 750. But the Honda is certainly a very solid option.

I had a 2005 Brute Force, I rode in by Southern West Virginia, where the Hatfield, and McCoy trail systems are. I don’t live there anymore, but rode that terrain for over 20yrs, had, and seen a lot of ATVs over the years. The Brute Force is a solid machine, I wouldn’t worry about some bad reviews about the transmission or belt, they are solid and the OEM belt is as durable as you will ever need. They are about the same as Honda as far as reliability, I honestly can’t say Honda is more reliable, and I , and many in the area have owned a lot of Hondas, there isn’t a margin of difference that you will notice in that department, ES on Hondas use to be an irritant, because you use to have to rock the machine back, and forth, side to side etc, to get it to fall into gear. That was an issue with Hondas, I don’t know if they ever fixed that, The Brute Force e750 is definitely at the top of my list, Too many issues with Polaris but they are comfortable rides in rough terrain, the original Brute was tipsy in the steep terrain of Southern West Virginia, that was its factory con, but setting the suspension at its softest setting, and widing it’s stance with offset rims and ITP Tires lowered the center of gravity, with added steel skid plates , atvs with low center of gravity is Highly recommended for that type of terrain

well i got myself a brute force 750 2023 to replace my yamaha raptor. now i have a 2022 kingquad 750 and a firecracker red brute force 750 with no power steering. i wanted the lightest most no frill brute force. it is a riot. i have no idea why it is sold as an utility atv, it is a rocket. it is nothing like a kingquad 750. the kingquad is mild. the brute force 750 is a tasmanian devil. the only upgrades it needs i think are maybe few upgrades like led lightning. it does not need power upgrade at all. it is already borderline dangerous, i would never let a beginner ride one. i love this thing way more than my kingquad 750. i am impressed by the seat, and stabiliy. it climbs sand pits better than the raptor 700 i had. today was my first ride. it had 0km on the odometer. i did 25 kilometers ride. of all the atv's i have ridden since 1981, it is my favorite, but it is quite a bit noisier that my kingquad 750, but the engine sound is glorious. it crackles a bit. the engine becomes quite warm too, but heat dissipation is very good. for an utility atv, it rides like a pure sport quad. i have owned 2 polaris 1000 and it is far more agile, stable and just as quick. now i understand why kawasaki does not upgrade it. the fact is it does not need much upgrading. only cosmetic and some fonctionality upgrades. the stock tires on the brute are cheap when you look at their specs on paper, but in the real world, i kinda like them. my kingquad has bear claw htr. the brute force 750 is meant to have light sporty tires. and i will stick to that formula. i have read my owner manual and kawasaki is very demanding as far as maintenance is concerned. the first oil change and break in maintenance is at 10 hours 100km. this seem a bit excessive.

The Prairie and original BF was legendary. There was a time in history when Kaw went from boring to brawling in a few years. When DirtWheels ran one of the very first articles in their pages of the BF, I remember the author commenting on how it had so much power that it was a threat to the frame. Whether that was marketing or an elaboration on the power the BF produced, I'm not sure. Since, we have been left with either complacency or apathy from their willingness (or lack thereof) to redesign the wheel and hope buyers would maintain that complacency. The BF is one of the machines that I've always wanted to own but never pulled the trigger. There really is no good reason aside from the financial decision of having atvs/sxs/dirtbikes that was already in the shed. Perhaps one reason is that many early reviewers commented on the center of gravity being high and offering no state of confidence in off-cambers (something I have always been mindful of because of how/where I ride). Sure, rider effort is part of the fun and I'm willing to overlook various reviews claiming a certain ATV is prone to "this and that," but I also understand physics; I'm a small, light weight dude and fighting a heavier (and expensive machine) wasn't something I was willing to do at the time because, well, physics always wins. Maybe I will find a good used one ridden on a farm by grandpa someday and he will make me an offer I can't refuse. At the moment, however, I'm waiting on my Outty to get in because...well, I've never owned a 6x6. Btw, this is my favorite atv review channel, dude. You're honest, have no fluff, and seem like a guy I could sit and solve world problems with. I say that and am not even a fan of giving props to people. Keep being awesome.

I really appreciate this comment! So getting any support in the form of test machines on my own will likely never happen.. But I'm ok with that, the guys who do this stuff for a living have to maintain relationships with the manufacturers which means they can't be 100% honest, or even 25% honest.. Im much more concerned with consumers and enthusiasts than manufacturers. I'd rather hold manufacturers accountable for certain things.. Hey, great question! We've owned and reviewed dang near everything so I can give you my opinion but keep in mind it's just one man's perspective.. Im not a fan of the DCT on ATVs, I never feel like they're in the right gear and I don't like push button steering.. CVTs are easier to use and they're a little more fun, but they aren't all created equal. I like Yamaha's the best. The Grizzly 700 is my favorite 4x4 and a Kodiak 700 or 450 would probably be great for your wife if she's a little smaller.. The 686cc motor in the Grizzly is probably the most reliable engine on the market and the CVTs have a ten year belt warranty (they literally never fail).. The problem is they are hard to find right now.. The Suzuki KingQuad 750 for you and a 500 for the wife is the next best thing.. I think the Grizzly handles better but they're close in reliability.. I recommend staying away from Polaris, the quality has really diminished in the last 5years or so.. CFMOTO might be tempting for you too, I did a video on them earlier this year and the feedback was probably 65-70% positive but mostly from newer owners.. Im not sold on their overall quality considering they're 100% Chinese.. The Brute Force is decent but it's overpriced considering it hasn't been updated in 10years.. It does pack more punch than a Grizzly or a KingQuad but that's appealing to you, then a CanAm Outlander is going to be more satisfying.. You're close enough to Lexington Motorsports to check them out, I've bought a few machines from them, I think they just changed their name to United Motorsports or something like that.. They're a volume dealer so inventory moves pretty quick.. Last time I was at CC Powersports in Shepherdsville they had a KingQuad and some CFMOTOS, that was a few weeks ago.. Lexington is probably your best bet since it's closer.. I'm not sure what else there is near you.. Hopefully that helps.. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions dirtobsexxion@gmail.com

i d'ont think they will release a 1000cc, but an 800 would be really easy. the engine already exist in the teryx and is the same engine as the brute force 750, but with higher compression and 783cc. they just have to give the chassis and suspension a little update and voila, we have all the atv we will ever need.

I have never had a desire to get a Kawasaki. The Japanese ATV prices have jumped so much that you get something bigger and better with more features from any other brand. I was at a Suzuki dealer and my 2018 I paid $9700. Now they're $11000. For what? They've only added plastic racks. Which leads me to this, u don't agree with steel racks. If you use them, 5 min later you have them scratched and paint rubbed off. A small gas jug will find a way loose, then get inbetween the gaps and scuff the plastics. I've had so much frustration with trying to use the "unlimited tie down points" of steel racks with complete failure and scuffing. However, my AC Alterra 700, gas can and 1 ratchet straps and zero movement. My High Lifter 850, same, even strapped down a cooler. Doesn't budge and zero rack scuffing.
@DirtObseXXion
@DirtObseXXion 2 жыл бұрын
Good alternative point of view there.. I like the steel racks for securing soft bags for long trips and especially for carrying tools like a chainsaw and trail clearing stuff.. The plastic racks are more of a pain, plus you lose your storage on the Polaris ATVs.. Different strokes I guess..
@EC_ATV_Outdoors
@EC_ATV_Outdoors 2 жыл бұрын
@@DirtObseXXion I also prefer soft storage. I find it more dust and weather resistant. The gaskets on molded storage always seems to leak to some degree. Something to think about too, steel racks require u-bolts to mount hard storage. AC, Can-Am, and Polaris all have the option of quick connect. Loved my KQ, but when hunting season began and ended, removing and adding the storage to allow hauling a deer home sucked. But you're right, we all have our preferences and for personal reasons

The Brute is still relevant. It's still the only thrilling vtwin bike made with Japanese reliability. The engine issues you hear of are not design or quality issues.... it's people not checking their oil, and treating them like jet skis that's the problem. The KVF700/750 engine is one of the most bulletproof engines ever put in an ATV. Yamaha is the current Japanese brand with known engine problems that are a design flaw and thus required Yamaha to go back to the old and outdated 686! As far as the diff lever.....what else could you do to it? Add some sensors or rev limiter like everybody else? No thanks. I'll take the bulletproof mechanical cable any day! It works so damn good that it hasn't needed to be screwed with in 20 years now. As for a stiff ride, that's what "sport" means in sport utility! If you want a sloshing, leaning, Lazy Boy on wheels so that you don't feel that pebble in the trail, a Brute is NOT the machine for you! Bottom line is if you want a fun, sporty, and reliable machine to ride fast trails, buy the Brute!

Agree with you. A 500cc machine is a massive market opportunity they should be addressing. This is the machine that most people are going to buy to plow their driveway and use for basic hunting tasks, because it’s just the right mix of power vs price. Price it at 6999 with no frills (Sportsman 570 starts 7999) and it’ll be a winner. Although, they gotta drop that stupid diff lever! Your right on that. Outdated. You guys make great videos. You should have 10x the subscribers. It’s too bad Atv riding men don’t care to subscribe to things. Suggestion- put bikini clad women on the title shot? Lol. Also throw in some twerking ? I have both a Brute Force 750 and a Grizzly 700. This is likely going to aggravate some people, but I feel obligated to share my thoughts on this machine. Bottom line, the Brute Force is not a reliable machine, I can promise you. If you're looking to purchase one thinking it'll be as reliable as the Grizzly and King Quad, you will likely be very disappointed. I'm not necessarily saying their junk, but imo, they are known to have far too many common issues to be considered reliable. While it may be possible someone got that crazy milage out of theirs, it is hard to believe those were trouble free miles. But who knows, maybe someone got a 1 in a million Bf. Anythings possible I suppose.. Common problems include: Front differential lock, timing chains, crank bearings, overheating, puking oil, fuel pumps, clutches/belts and regular valve adjustments. I'm sure others could chime in and add to this list, but I think that pretty much sums up the regular stuff. And all this can be verified by searching the Bf forums yourself, and I would definitely recommend you do just that anyway. Dont just listen to one single guy. Not only that, the power difference between the Bf 750, the Grizzly 700 and the King Quad 750 is barley worth mentioning. Sure, it's a twin, and it does feel a bit more torquey than the other two, but the difference is negligible. You will mostly notice this torque right out of the hole, but midrange and top end feel very similar to the other two quads. Also, the handling on the other two atvs is much better as well.

Wow, an honest BF owner lol! I agree with all and would add that the fan motors tend to go out as well.. Also agree the KQ ride is much better and the Grizzly ride is better than the BF.. Not taking 1 guys opinion is the best advice anyone can give!
