Good review. This car looks like it will be a solid performer in the snow. A little worried about the thin sidewall on the tire hitting a pothole and either causing damage or blown tire.

Nobody beats Lexus for QDR and nobody even comes close . I just wish they would offer a manual option and include Canada on the list of countries getting the Hybrid IS.

I love my 2019 IS. Not too crazy about the new style. They are great cars to drive in any season.

No rear Torsen diff option on AWD models... Bad

Probably did it on purpose as with torsen you can't have 100% power go to one wheel if you're stuck, this does. That's my theory.

@@Rockdog333 The AWD system concerned does have center Torsen diff transfer but no rear axle LSD. I suspect it may have to do with the limits of the transmission, its final drive ratios etc. etc.

Luxury cars these days dont come with manual and quit asking for it

@@morgandrives The only porshce and BMW models that have manual is their ultra sports 911 turbo and for BMW its mostly M series which are designed as sports cars. All other models are automatics......... Automatics are faster than manual.

@@441meatloaf Those are still luxury cars, luxury + sport in a way. And Autos are faster in a straight line for sure. But I prefer driving manual, so I will continue to ask for it, and certainly not stop because you - or anyone - tells me to.
