Arguably the best compact sedan on the matket... but sooo underrated. It has premium materials, tech, and performance

Mazda is just killing it. We purchased a 2021 Mazda 6 Signature, that comes standard with the 2.5 Turbo. Love everything about that car, with exception to the infotainment system. Bose sounds great, but it can be slower to connect than most . The 360 camera quality could be better. It does redeem itself a little with the wireless CarPlay. Like I said previously, overall we love the car. My spouse loved it so much I was often finding myself walking outside to find my Mazda missing. To get my car back, we just traded in our 2020 Acura, for the Mazda 3 Turbo Premium Plus. We both love this one too. Mazda addressed the issues with the infotainment and camera system,. The 3 connects very quickly and the camera's are awesome on the 360. Not to knock our Acura, it is a solid product. The Mazda interior quality, and performance with the AWD is superior in every way over the Acura. The heads up displays on both are amazing. If these both prove to be as reliable as my neighbors 20 year old Mazda 6, I really feel like we hit the jackpot with these cars. The only thing that I wish about the 3, and it is small nit picks, but Mazda if you are listening, why is there no vents for the back seat, no power passenger seat, and at $34K shouldn't we get ventilated seats as well as heaters like my 6?

@@arya7927 Funny enough, coming back to this thread 9 months later, I bought the 21 premium trim hatch with the red leather interior 😅💜 I still think the turbo model is too pricy, and there's enough zip in the regular 2.5L for my needs.

I did buy the Mazda 3 Premium sedan. The only thing I didn't get with mine was the home link and chrome on the glovebox. This is the non turbo but the car is amazing and I like the design of the sedan over the hatchback.

Sadly, my 2021 M3 2.5L Turbo AWD does not have the rear view mirror "home-link" controls. The interior material seems to be a cheapish type cloth type stuff. The vehicle does NOT have a rear stabilizer bar, hence handling "out of the box" is significantly sub-par for the "performance" level this vehicle should be built to. Even with the Bose audio system, I simply am finding it impossible to find a setup / configuration which I would expect from this system. I've attempted numerous settings / fade / balance / base / etc., and just cannot seem to get it right for me (driver)... Cruise control settings (my opinion) are unusable. Collision "avoidance" settings are to generic - this cannot be adjusted to my preference(s), but ONLY to one of 3 factory presets. While this system is still "useable", it can also be an annoyance if one is "pushing the limits"...

I have a 2021 Mazda 3 Premium AWD Sedan. Living in a city I find there is a big blind spot that the A pillar makes. Like you I'm 6'1" and I find with the seat back I can be at a stop sign and not be able to see the people on my left in the crosswalk. Many time my passenger has said "stop there are people in the crosswalk." Note I came from a 2002 Mazda Protege ES which is like night and day. OH do you know what happened to the Mazda 3 Premium Plus that is not Turbo? I think it's the chip shortage that has played a part in this. I've looked at local San Francisco Bay Area dealers and the dealers that had 35 different Mazda 3 sedans in stock now only have 3 or 5. When I purchased my car in February 2021 they had over 30 so I can only think it's the chip shortage.

I wish they had a black headliner in the more upper trims for the sedan. It would really seal in a sportier and more luxe feel. The hatch has this for some odd reason, but the sedan does not.

You don’t have to pay retail. Mazda is very reliable. You get what you pay for. Besides the base model starts around $20,000. Leasing one may be a good idea for you Rahm. I’ve owned a few and one bonus in your factory warranty is longer than Honda & Toyota. I didn’t hear the the Gold Pony mention that. 4 years & 50,000 miles. One last thing, please don’t forget the Mazda 6 because it’s excellent... since you mentioned those cars in the next class up from the Mazda 3.

@@2004cyrus I am looking for a good, safe reliable car for my kid. It will be her first vehicle. We are looking at Mazda 3, Hyundai Accent, Accord, Subaru Crosstrek. Never leased a car before :(
@2004cyrus
@2004cyrus 3 жыл бұрын
@@rambosupreme most new cars are really reliable. Subaru is okay but I’d cross that off the list. I sold cars and managed for 10 years. Their CVT often becomes problematic. The Honda Accord is hard to beat if you have that much in your budget. It’s safer, heavier, quieter and more comfortable but... it also has a CVT, but a better one. I recommend people steer clear of those. The Hyundai Accent is a good little car but my cramp her style because it’s a funny looking little sub compact. And yet again to achieve higher gas mileage, they use a CVT. It’s also the least comfortable by far. Hard plastic everywhere. Solid engine tho. But with all of the better choices out there I can’t see how anyone with a budget can settle on the Accent versus the Excllent competition these days. If you buy new with the manufacturer warranty that can relief the immediate anxiety of being left without a ride if/when the CVT fails. My choice, hands down and if it were my money, would be the Mazda 3. I sold Mazda and I owned 2. And I’ve often owned other Mazda’s continually and all have a healthy dose of fun, affordability, and reliability! I’m 40 years old and buy them for my kids too!

@@2004cyrus thanks very much for the advice. Much appreciated. The new accent looks really nice. We like Mazdas. I had a Mazda 3 and now we got a CX9. The Mazda CX-5 is other one I like. Or the RAV4. Trying to stay in that 20-22k range 😬
@2004cyrus
@2004cyrus 3 жыл бұрын
@@rambosupreme my absolute please sir! And that’s fantastic that you already have Mazda experience. I agree the Accent is a nice looking little car. But if you are considering an Accord it’s hard to imagine your family choosing the Accent. There are pros & cons to everything and you can certainly come in under budget in that Hyundai. Do you plan to buy new or pre- owned? That’s a great budget. I have driven and done lots of research on Rav-4. It’s a let down in gas form; however the Hybrid is a whole different beast but very expensive of course. I prefer the previous generation in the V6, but your daughter would probably be fine in the 4-cylinder. It’s just very slow. But riding up higher is hard to beat. You might want to consider the Mazda CX-3. You could get it brand new and they retail for $21 and change.
