@@Gyula.b nope it’s the 1.3 liter engine, but it’s boosted by an electric motor since it’s the plug in hybrid in sport mode. You can spot the parts where the booster kicks in by the „power“ bar on the lower left area of the rotation speed indicator.

Firstly: there aren't many stations at German Autobahns. Secondly, even full throttle most cars these days can go 4-5-600 km when fully fueled, especially Diesel cars. My AUDI TDI was able to go 1000+km with medium driving style, going very fast 6-700km per full fuel tank.

I had a 98 civic hatch with a 5 speed and it barely could go over 100mph. Took a long trip and was going quite fast for part of it... This car would usually go about 300 miles plus on a tank of fuel, driving it nearly flat out on desolate roads I had to fill up after 150 miles. It was fun, but it sure wasted a bunch of gas.

Mein a250e schafft die 260 locker weg, da ist der hier sehr weit weg von. Schafft die 240 gerade mal so und das Berg ab. Das die Kiste keine Chance gegen den M3 hat ist ja klar ;)

Also ich fahre ein BMW 220i Coupé mit nur 184 PS. Und ich habe mit dem einen CLA 250e auf der Autobahn geschoben. Die waren so ziemlich exakt gleich schnell. Und mein 2er schafft 245/247 kmh Tacho. Dein 250e schafft Serie nie im Leben „locker“ 260. da musst du aber mindestens eine Softwareoptimierung machen.

Yup. That's Mercedes' "tactic" in Germany at least. You pay a lot for every single extra there is available. If you purchase the base model you get seats and a steering wheel. That's pretty much everything. In the US the base model of the A Class has a sunroof, heated seats, electric seats and so on... Plus it is way cheaper over there but oh well...

The engine was already warm. And modern oil pumps and passages are so well designed there is close to zero risk of component wear due to oil starvation after freshly starting the engine. Concerning the dashboard, I believe that could be an optical illusion due to the fact it doesn't seem to appear anywhere else on the video.

Why do you think cars cost millions and take years to develop? Every single part is perfected to achieve its intended goals. Modern cars have so many electronics, that if it were potentially harmful for the engine, there would be some form of soft limiter to prevent it. There is none. But you are partially right. Cars are designed to fail nowadays, so that customers never keep them too long and they end up buying a newer, more expensive car. That's just the way capitalism works unfortunately.
