Thank you for watching! I appreciate the comment. I definitely feel the "miss building" comment because I had a long dry spell of not doing builds (most of my friends and family build at the same time I do my own builds and we do them all together so sometimes I have seen 2-3 year dry spells). Now I am fortunate that I get to build for my clients as well :)

Cool build but the Lian-Li O11D-XL Case looks better with EK distro plate and Vertical GPU mount to showcase that 3090.
@UnhingedSystems3 жыл бұрын
I do really like the distro plate but I really wanted the fresh air intake and additional fans. No regrets here, even with two 360mm rads the fluids still easily hit 40C at peaks loads for long periods. With all of the issues with PCIe 4 and vertical mounts over the last 9 months I am happy I didn't go that route. The look definitely adds a certain aesthetic with the vertical mounts though! Lots of chances for me to do some vertical mount builds, hopefully sooner than later!

hi, what are your pumpspeed/fanspeed on? i pretty much got the same build on stock but my cpu temps rise to 55°C while watching youtube and twitch. while gaming on ultra with a 3080 (waterblock) i get like 83°C CPU temp..full custom watercooled. running my pump at 45% tho and fans at like 800-900rpm. everything is set on default settings (cpu/gpu). appreciate any help! (you already helped me out with my gpu-block :))
@UnhingedSystems3 жыл бұрын
Fan speed is set to go no higher than 1200RPM (reasonably quiet with the QL120 fans) based on coolant fluid temps (Not letting the coolant exceed 40C). Pump speed is 50% at idle and 80% max based on coolant temperature, curve set to 80% at 40C and 50% at 30C.

Corsair is expensive to be certain, but I haven't seen another environment that enables such precise control and synchronization. Thank you! Yes, you certainly can. What are you intending on using it for? Technically the 5900X is a better gaming CPU as it will achieve higher single core boost clocks. Most people get the 5950X for workstation use and/or bragging rights, but it obviously does great in gaming as well!

@fredEVOIX Nice scores! Have you done a full load run for 10m? Do you know what your liquid temps are peaking at fully saturated? PBO is nice, one can achieve a pretty nice O/C with that. Are you measuring CPU temp on the motherboard sensor or the package temps? 67C is sus if you are actually pulling 234W CPU power (unless you delid and use liquid metal). 234W system power would make sense though at stock power limits. Let me know how your peak scores go with PBO! I'll be doing an O/C video to really push the systems and see how far it can go!

Hey there, nice build congrats. So jealous though :) , I wanted the Asus Dark Hero MB and the 3090 Strix but could not find it anywhere at a sane price and if my local Best Buy or Microcenter carry it they usually never have it in stock. So as you're aware from my last comment in one of your prior videos I had to go with the Asus X570 E Gaming MB and MSI 3090 Gaming X Trio instead. Not bad but would of preferred the Dark Hero and 3090 Strix instead, oh well. The one thing that i was able to change in my build was return the 5800x for the 5950x but the 5950x I purchased online as a bundle deal. So i had to buy the bundle in order to get the 5950x. The price for the bundled items were marked at retail if you break it down that way but unfortunately i couldn't purchase the 5950x by itself, oh well.... I was curious, - where is the drain valve if any for your loop? How would you drain out the coolant? - What type of coolant are you using in the loop? - What are you using to prevent gpu sag? - What fittings did you use for the acrylic tube? I went with Bitspower PETG 12mm OD tube along with a couple of Bitspower rotary 90 degree angles and the straight Bitspower Advance fittings. Btw those Bitspower advance fittings are awesome. You can literally pull on the tube and the tube will not come loose out of the fitting because of the large rubber seal that goes on the tube, it's not like the traditional o-ring type fittings. Also a suggestion, for any rubber seals or gaskets even plastic or metal, I use "Trident Silicone Grease" it supposed to help the rubber from cracking especially with all the different chemicals in the coolant coming in contact. - I've got my system up an running but having some problems while gaming. To be specific, when i play RDR 2 about 15-20 mins in the game my system reboots and sometimes I get the WHEA uncorrectable error from Windows. I've reset the bios via "load default settings" and it seems to be working right now without it rebooting while playing RDR 2. Not sure what's going on, my guess is either my RAM (32GB(8GBx4) G.Skill F4-3866C18D-16GTZR CL 18-19-19-39 1.35v PC4-30900 8Gx2 Intel XMP 2.0 Ready) is causing the issue because the RAM that I'm using is from my old Intel build. I'm still troubleshooting but if you have any suggestions please let me know, thanks.
@UnhingedSystems3 жыл бұрын
Wow thank you for the comment and questions! I'll get a response out to you in detail this week! As far as the WHEA errors, have you upgraded to the latest BIOS? These errors are most common on the older initial AGESA versions on the earlier BIOS revisions. They can also be caused by using curve optimizer or overclocking too aggressively so loading defaults was a good move to troubleshoot it! Try setting the RAM to 3600 MHz and then 3800 MHz manually and see if that makes a difference. The Infinity fabric (fclk) for the memory controller will run best at a perfect 1:1 ratio with the memory (1800 fclk - 3600 RAM or 1900 fclk - 3800 RAM).
@lyricallysikh13 жыл бұрын
@@UnhingedSystems Hey, thanks for the reply. Yes i have the latest bios in there, 3603 that is the non beta version. There is a beta version 3801 that is the latest but I don't really like messing around with beta versions especially when it comes to the bios unless you think otherwise? Once i selected "load optimized defaults" and went back into the bios the PBO in the general settings not advanced is set to auto, Curve Optimizer is not enabled and no other overclocking enabled as far as i know. I'm sort of new to all this. With the default bios settings, I ran the game last night for a couple of hours and it didn't reboot or show me the WHEA screen. I will try again and see what happens, if the pc doesn't reboot or WHEA screen while gaming then it seems like stock settings works best. After that I'll enable certain OC settings one at a time and see what is causing the problem. The first thing i'll probably do is enable the OC DOCP profile but I'm not to familiar with it. Do you have a guide you can link to me or explain what settings do i need to adjust when it comes enabling DOCP for my specific RAM, When i enable the DOCP my settings are as followed, - Ai Overclock Tuner - D.O.C.P - D.OC.P. - D.O.C.P. DDR4-3868 18-19-19-39 - BCLK Frequency - 100.0000 - SB Clock Spread Spectrum - Auto - Performance Enhancer - Auto - Memory Frequency - Auto - FCLK Frequency - Auto *DRAM Timing Control - All settings are Auto - DRAM Voltage - Auto With the above settings, my RAM defaults to 2133 instead of 3866. What settings do I need to change in order to get my RAM close to 3866? Also, something i wanted to point out is after I enable default settings and reboot the first screen i get is "Safe Mode" with a "CPU Fan Error". So in bios under the "Monitor" tab i select "Ignore" for the "CPU Fan Speed". By doing that i don't get the Safe Mode screen when i reboot. The other settings that i manually change from "monitor" to "ignore" in the Monitor tab are, - CPU Optional Fan Speed - Ignore - Chassis Fan 1 Speed - Ignore - Chassis Fan 2 Speed - Ignore - M.2 Fan Speed - Ignore - W_PUMP+ Speed - Shows the current RPM of my pump. - AIO Pump Speed - Ignore For some odd reason and making a wild assumption here, I feel like the above settings when changing to Ignore is causing the problem instead of the RAM? I'm probably wrong but my theory is maybe either the bios or Windows doesn't detect any fans since I'm running a custom water loop and it thinks I'm overheating and reboots the PC while I'm gaming? I don't use the "Q-Fan Configuration". Sorry just a guess, I'm probably wrong though. I'm going to run everything stock in the bios and see if i get a reboot or WHEA screen while i play the game. Sorry for the lengthy msg. Any chance you have discord where i can talk to you in there so I don't have to post long details msgs on KZbin? Thanks again.

@@lyricallysikh1 AMD won't boot at all or will default to 2133 telling you memory settings aren't ok, unlike Intel which boots even unstable, 1st thing I do on Intel is select XMP profile then manually force the frequency(ies) below what it's rated for until aida64 stress test is stable but...you don't seem to know that you can't run high frequency on AMD without a performance penalty, the maximum speed you can run without "breaking the system" is 3733Mhz so start with that 1st then try 3600Mhz (recommended everywhere) secondly from what I've read Ryzen cares more about timing numbers than Mhz unlike Intel, my amd stuff is still in the boxes so thats all I can tell you for now ;) google : reddit 5950x Ram Compatibility you'll find more info
