2021 Porsche Boxster 25 Years: First Drive Review

As you may guess, the Boxster 25 years celebrates the droptops's inception and rise to become one of Porsche's most beloved models.
Underneath the 1993-aping styling (and 2013-aping tech), the 25 Years comes with the GTS’ 4.0-liter flat-six, making the same 394 horsepower and 309 pound-feet with the manual transmission or 317 with the dual-clutch automatic. My tester featured the former, meaning I had six delightfully slick gear choices under my right hand to go along with pedals nicely placed for heel-toe downshifts. However, the standard Sport Chrono package pre-empted me on that front, with automatic rev matching that made me look far more talented than I am. Put it all together and the 25 Years hits 60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds, according to Porsche.

As someone who VIVIDLY remembers the 1993 Boxster concept car, I'm a big fan of this special edition! Actually looks closer to the concept than the actual first 1997 production car.

This car fits the definition of 'GT'. "A grand tourer is a type of sports car that is designed for high speed and long-distance driving, due to a combination of performance and luxury attributes." Is the car high speed? Yes. Is this car focused more on street driving and not track driving? Yes. Is he saying the car is comfortable for miles and miles? Yes.
