I asked about the hook, they had the trickle charger cable going through it. I'm not sure if that is what it is for but that was what they were using it for here in California. They didn't say anything different as far as emissions.

Why the parking brake delete ? I haul in a toy hauler and like the peace of mind that’s if the tie downs come loose it’s not going to bounce around too bad , if you haul in gear you are wearing out a few teeth in first gear.

You can't swing the lever when you put hand guards on.. That's a good point about hauling, but we use trax lock that sinches down on the tire

Love my 2020 Raptor 700r S E …. Stock tune is very lean and makes them run sooo hot. First mod should be the Dyno Jet PCv . Mod and tune as you add intake..exhaust and other stuff. The inexpensive (sold on Amazon) 3/4” bar riser kit made my stock bars feel pretty good.

@@DirtObseXXion I went with the Pro Design/K&N…. And the Monster exhaust with the longer can. Seemed loud at first but now it sounds as normal….proving you get used to everything after a little while. PC-V tweaking fuel and ignition maps got rid of the engine heat and a lot of the decel popping. I started with the Sparks Racing mapping and it just got better with every tweak / tune adjustment.

@@DirtObseXXion yes…. Did the A.I.S. delete as one of the first things. You just can’t get rid of all of the pops but I am really close. The main thing I was after was 1st… get the engine heat/too lean condition under control and 2nd … tune out the aggravating popping. You will hit a point of good tune vs. a little pop here or there. I’m really happy with mine now. Heat is gone and runs so much better than stock. Building maps with the PC-V is a blast once you get a handle on what your looking for and what works.

No changes and the price raises every year...but damn I'd like to have one...had a yfz450, so I know what I'm missing, actually I'd probably like it more cus of the low end torque...hill climbing is such a rush ...i gotta 21 kodiak 700 brand new last year, and did all the clutch mods and it's so fun in the mud with a cooler and beer...I got skids, 30 inch tires, barkers slip on and tuner..but gosh damn I wanna fast quad again...nothing like hauling the mail everywhere! The AIS delete is to stop popping and backfiring after you have done the big three so maybe you should have listed The Big Three first? My list would be case saver the big3 AIS delete tires skid plate handlebars

It stops the popping on a stock exhaust as well, especially on deceleration.. We do the big 3 first too, but tried to cover budget friendly priorities.. Good list! I have the Raptor bend protapers but I think I'm gonna switch to flexx bars.. The Raptor bend is too wide if you don't cut them..

No, power doesn't increase after break in.. But take the air box lid off and it will increase by around 4hp. Do the big 3 and it increases by around 10-12hp. That's when it starts to feel like a lot, especially in the top end with a decent fuel map. You can dig into the motor if you still need more after that.. A raptor can probably make 65-70hp reliably with the right mods.

@@hondarider100r I just did an Empire Full System with Dynojet PCV and Fuel Customs Intake... Huge difference, but it was pricey compared to the route you're going. You might want to entertain the idea of an intake mod if you're still not happy with the power. The stock one is pretty restrictive.. But I'll also tell you I rode my stock for almost two years and other than a slight delay in the throttle response, it was pretty good for 90+% of riding.

Can someone explain the AIS blank off plate, I don’t understand how removing that doesn’t void the warranty? I have the extended warranty on my 2023

Just keep it and put it back on if you need warranty work.. A Warranty on a Raptor is just burning money.. The motors are absolutely bulletproof.. The AIS is air induction, it pulls air in to mix with the exhaust to dilute emissions.. I don't think it really hurts anything, but it causes an annoying pop on deceleration

I have been riding atv's a long time, I started on a trailboss in 1996, then moved up to a 450 foreman in 2001 and now ride a yamaha grizzly i bought new in 2015. I have ridden outlanders, king quads, rubicons, fourtrax, kawi kvf 650 but whats a common denominator here?, No manual clutches, I have never ridden a quad with a manual clutch before, now in saying that, I have wanted a raptor since they came out, Would they be too much bike to learn on? My truck is paid off in June so i can take on another toy lol.

They're ideal to learn on.. Very forgiving clutch because the torque will pull you without even applying throttle.. I'd say They're easier to ride than any other manual ATV or motorcycle I've ever been on..

We have 12, 14, and 16ft trailers but you could easily use an 8fter for a Raptor.. If you're asking to determine what size you should get, I'd recommend at least a 12ft because you're gonna have buddies that don't have trailers or your gonna want to only take one vehicle on a trip...

They're by far the most comfortable sport atv ever made.. I have a bad back too, I can ride a Raptor all day.. Sometimes I pay for it if I ride hard, but hell that happens on a 4x4 too..

I had a Honda rancher 4x4 a while back that I took on a trail ride once and it killed my back. It had a solid rear axle and rode like a tank. I was convinced if I ever got another wheeler that I would need I independent rear suspension but maybe not?

id get a Glann innovations case saver. wouldnt go cheap on that. get the best and its onl 60 bucks. that was my firdt mofld for my yfz. had a cheapo case saver and the chain broke and still wrapped around the front sprket and got wedged between the swing arm. happened at a high speed i got lucky my case didnt crack. took that cheap ass case saver off and bought a glann case saver. best thing i ever did. oh get the chain slide that goes with it too. they work together

If you get the gytr belly skid, it rolls up on the side of the frame which I like but you can’t use bolt on nerf bars like “tusk” you gotta buy the style that passes threw the frame. I ordered the tusk and made that mistake. Anyway cool vid, bought a 2020 se last august. Love it!
