I have a norco sight carbon 29er, with zeb in the front and coil in the back. Riding 90kg fully kitted. Works like a dream!! You’re totally right with zeb on more bikes!

Have you thought about the Forbidden druid or for yourself the new bigger version coming very very soon ! I was wondering in the past if he would go Forbidden, but saying he wants a shorter rear pretty much rules them out. I absolutely love my Druid though, and have friends extremely eager to order their new bike ASAP. Still, would like to see them in for his take.

assuming he can get his hands on one. Revel is Colorado based, so might be hard to find in BC. Plus the Rail is the only bike that Revel makes that would likely be up to riding North Shore, the Rascal and Ranger are both short travel bikes.

What happened to the Instinct BC Edition? Now a Powerplay? The Altitude is now the only Rocky Enduro in both 27.5 and 29?

Altitude replaces the Instinct BC and I think you can get it in 27.5 or 29er up to a medium frame large and XL are 29er only. New Instinct is the same frame and wheel options I believe but is a 150/140mm travel (if I remember correctly). Thunderbolt is alloy and 27.5 only with a Deore 12spd being the highest spec.

Smooth as usual. I'm old and won't ride the elevated stuff. Watching you ride those greasy skinnies on a 29er enduro bike while casually discussing suspension kinematics is a mind bending pov experience. Simply awesome. Oh and that bike is sweet but the $$$? You could get a decent e bike for that lol.

That’s an altitude for sure. I own that version with the same exact colors. The Instinct BC edition uses those same colors and in the carbon version but in different areas of the bike than the altitude.

If I remember your around my height 6'-1". What size did you demo. Looking at the top tube length the xl would seem huge. My current bike has a 662mm tt.I thing the large would be a better fit at 640 than the 672mm xl.

Since you've tried so many bikes now, do you have one that's really stuck out to you? One that when you rode it you were like.. wow I can actually feel the difference that this thing makes in my riding, and it's good! I'm always so curious how people can make decisions on the bike they want to purchase without giving them really good goes!

These days bikes are so good there aren’t any huge standouts, in general. But there are bikes that fit your style better. I think my next bike will be a but more manual and bunny hop friendly, which is the opposite of what a lot of people are buying these days

Yea, that's half a pretty darn good car. It's hard to justify when there are plenty of bikes out there (Ripmo AF, for example) which offer a great experience at a really, really great price. The riding experience isn't THAT different, and for a whole lot less money.

Do you think a fork could ever be too stiff like a carbon wheel could be? Seems that people say the stiffness of the Zeb/38 holds a line better in the rough but people also say too stiff of a wheel can deflect you off your line in the rough

Would recommend this for a larger rider but someone who rides slower and more mellow trails? Or would you suggest a trail bike instead? Is the stiffness of the 38 worth the weight/travel penalty if you're not going to use the full amount of travel all the time?

Definitely a sick bike but Rocky Mountain prices are horrible compared to Specialized and many other brands. The Enduro Pro build is about $1000 cheaper.
