Yes its quite alarming and reflects the times we live in .Look at the size of so many people now.Obesity is rife and apparantly a sofa in the UK is now 18 inches wider than 20 years ago to accommodate the larger girths of todays population.A mini or Fiat 500 today are about twice the size of the 60s originals.

Not comparing Harry to Jay Leno as I respect them both, but Harry seems reluctant to speak about how a properly maintained, high-mileage supercar is preferable to a museum piece or trailer queen with low miles or kilometers. Mr. Leno on the other hand is very open about the need to drive (and properly maintain) these automotive pieces of art and he does so at every opportunity. Great video as always Mr. Metcalf.

That 206 SP recreation is absolutely lovely. That is my pick. So unusual, and a bargain compared to the other Dinos! (By the way: de Havilland are doing a replica of the 206 SP. Don't know what engine they put in it. That is a fibreglass body. Since the turn-key Dino 246 replica is £35k, I reckon it will be between £45k and £50k. If you want an aluminium replica, there is an Australian comply called Tansley that do one)!

I remember seeing one in Vancouver as a little kid and have been enthralled by the 246's as well as the DeTomaso Pantera's from the same period. I was a curious 7 year old in 1973-4 and have always been in love with cars, my Dad had an early 60's Triumph TR-3a and I remember going to A & W car nights with him in Edmonton with that car. I know I simply couldn't afford this Dino and have it shipped to Alberta, but if I ever win a large enough Lottery it will find a special place in my custom built garage and shop! lol

I worked with a guy (1988 - 1990) who had a 512 BB. He had a few other interesting cars as well. He'd sometimes drive his BB to work. Beautiful thing. He said that it was a bit primitive e.g. if you had the driver's quarter-light window open and you turned the steering wheel, you'd skin your knuckles. But still a lovely car. The CEO of one of our client companies at the time often drove his Testarossa to work. I lusted after that. The CEO spent some time in jail a year or so later. Interesting times.

Some truly great Ferrari's there. If I could I'd get the red left hand drive Dino (I'm in the US).

The thing that saddens me a bit is how those first owners bought such nice cars only to leave them in the garage.

Even sadder that these owners (greedy hoarders masquerading as astute investors) are dumping these cars on the market holus bolus due to: A. Ferrari gone private & madly over producing cars B. The now rapid change to EV cars in Europe NOTE - There were hardly any or NO 70's Boxer variants i.e. 365 and 512 BB; 308 and 328 variants; 512 TR/512 LM's OR the big three in the 288 GTO's, F 40 and F 50's for sale.

@@FrostedSeagull You mention selling due to incoming EV. Do you mean they are selling because they will become obsolete?

It would be interesting if you put up a poll and asked people to pick one, just one; which of these Ferrari's shown in this video would you put your own money on, One and one only. I would choose the Eric Clapton grey 599.

The 512 BBi variant is the best, just ask John Collins at Talacrest, the guru

Another great video! Regarding the right hand Dino listed for more than the left... I thought left hand drive cars usually fetched more as there is a greater market for them?
