My brother has traveled this country many times on a Honda Goldwing, he is currently on his 4th trip to Alaska from Pennsylvania, actually arrived in Skagway today. He will be 80 years old in August and still going strong. Goldwings are a pleasure to travel on, done many trips across this country myself. Enjoy the rides.

Wow!. I will be 65 in a few days and I hope I can ride until 75. I think I will be happy if I make that but will ride longer if possible. There is nothing like a Goldwing for traveling cross country. I have done 7 trips now and hope to do at least a dozen more. Thanks for watching.

How do you find all these interesting sites? My boyfriend and I ride a 2002 1800 Goldwing and love it. Would love to see all the sites along our trip. Enjoy your travels❤

First, keep riding. I found a lot of these sites on the National Park website. Others I found just looking at Google Maps. You can go to OurRetirementAntics.com and view maps. There you can download a GPX file to load into your GPS of all the places I visited. Thanks for watching,

Hi Bobby, thanks a lot for sharing, I enjoyed "to travel with you" as least by watching. You visited some nice places normally not seen on videos. I hope you enjoy your retirement (I am kind of looking forward to my retirement in about 3 years). Kindest Regards from Berlin in Germany, Andreas (1988 Goldwing 1500)

Hi Andreas, thanks for the comment and good luck in your future retirement. I highly recommend retirement :-) Also, if you liked this video I am going on a 3+ week motorcycle ride again in a couple of weeks, seeing some parts of Route 66 and ending up in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. I hope to do a 8-10 minute video each day. So look for them.

If you're filming with an iPhone too the video looks dark because the HDR isn't translating well to youtube after you edit. I would recommend turning off HDR for video in iPhone camera settings.

I noticed you have the fluorescent Goldwing Riders jacket. How do you like it? I have an ST1300 and 2018 Goldwing Tour DCT. I'm about to hit the east coast from San Diego in mid March....still torn on which bike to do it on. Love em both

It took a while to get used to the padding but now I love it. It has vents in the chest area I can open up. Then I aim the Baker Wings to force air up the arm sleeves and the whole coat puffs jump and keeps me cool. The coat is comfortable up into the 80's that way. It also has a zip out liner I can take out in warm weather. Over all I am very happy with it. Thanks for leaving a comment. For your trip, Goldwing all the way . I am about to take a similar trip for 3+ weeks in the opposite direction

Do you always ride alone or have you ever let another biker tag along?

Maybe I missed it, but what month? Are you riding a stock seat? All that higher math about the fuel will give you a headache. When in doubt, just get the gas! Thanks for the ride along!

March 2021. We have an after market seat made by Hartco. It is not cheap, but worth every penny. This year I took a cheater jug with one gallon of gas in the right saddle bag. Won't get caught like that again. Thanks for watching.

Fun fact every president has a library dedicated to them, they actually get to design or at least have some influence on it I believe. It's usually in their hometown or place of great importance to them. So for me a native Kansan president eisenhowers library is in his hometown of abilene kansas.

How tall are you sir? I'm 6'1". I want a goldwing but it seems cramped for my knees
@OurRetirementAntics2 жыл бұрын
I am 6' 2". A custom seat will fix most of your problems, but they are not cheap. We went with Hartco. Move me back a couple of inches and made the passenger backrest more vertical for my wife. I also got after market foot pegs that lower my feet just a little and I think moved them forward little. Those two things worked for me. We have a 2016 Gold Wing.

OK in Texas, 'Ranch Road' does NOT mean what you took it as. They are a commonly used name with numbers for each one and there are no gates, gravel or unusual critters! If you are playing with google maps and/or earth; zoom in and you would have seen large roads, pavement, gas stations, Bar BQ (hey it's Texas) many businesses, etc. You missed out my friend. Good Rides
