To anybody thinking about buying this bike in a list of prospective bikes in the general class range-- buy it-- it handles way better than the z900 and mt09 like night and day difference and while the lighter KTMs and other options def offer more on the spec sheet and may put up a better track time.... you're getting K5/6 Gixxer durability with the GSX-S, which is 75k-100k trouble free miles if properly maintained which none of the Euro bikes can touch. The mt09 is a poorly planted bike mid corner and an excessive wheelie machine, the Z900 is a good bike and it's got more power than the Suzuki but again it's not planted like the GSX-S in the corner-- plus it costs more. The fact that people sleep on the gsxs750 has mint condition used ones for stupid cheap for what you actually get. Do not buy the cb650, cbr650 either they're boring bikes with subpar performance-- if you're looking for the gsxs750 we would assume you're looking for practical, but not insane performance. The Honda 650s are dull AF.

Good day all, I’m thinking of getting this bike as an upgrade from my 390 duke. The main thing that has me second guessing it is the heavy weight. Does anyone notice the weight up top at all or is it well balanced? It seems pretty heavy but wanted to see if any of you notice it. I’m a smaller rider 5’ 8” and 150 lbs. Thank you

My current and first bike is a CB500x. I plan on upgrading from it a little after I finish out school in a year and a half and have been window shopping a bit. The GSX-S750 has really caught my eye but I worry it may be a lil too much of a power jump. I have 2 riding seasons on my current bike and would have another 2 by the time I'd actually be in the market to upgrade. So would it be a manageable amount of power if I'm smart with throttle and clutch control until I got used to it, or better to go for a more intermediate bike in the 60-80 horsepower range like the SV650 or MT07?

@@erichiesha4070he said *linear* torque, which and inline 4 does. The MT09 is a lot more torquey yes, but it’s also abrupt and a little unpredictable… the GSXS has to rev out more but it can keep up with an MT09 straight line, and absolutely demolishes the MT09 in the twisties. But a better frame, better dimensions and better ergonomic position for hitting the twisties gives the GSXS the advantage. The Yamaha has the hoon factor, if you like to wheelie with ease that’s the pick. If you like the more upright ergonomics as well the MT09 is a better pick. The GSXS is a little bit more leaned forward and tucked. More confidence inspiring in the twisties but may not be as comfy on a long ride…
