Hamada and Malonga are strong favorites, but the German Wagner has won 13 in a row on the IJF circuit, including beating Malonga at the world's. She's likely to face Hamada in the semi. They've only met before with Hamada winning with an o-soto gari to kesa gatame. Hamada is good standing and sensational on the ground. She takes a lot of risks and is short, so has had issues dealing with Malonga, who is much taller and a tremendous grip fighter and thrower. Malonga is up 2-4 head to head. Malonga's weaknesses are on the ground and in long matches.
