Just got my 2021 Camry LE with cold weather package and convenience package that means almost all the bells and whistles. Push start button, heated stirring wheel, heated seats, BSM blind spot monitor, side mirror lights, sensor behind the door handles and a whole bunch of other things except remote start. I love it and I think it’s the best trim with those two packages for the money.

I rented a 2021 Camry SE and drove it from OKC to KC. Unless the MPG computer in the car is completely bogus, it indicated I got 46mpg on the trip. Averaged around 70mph and I did have a tailwind much of the way. I agree, the switchblade manual key needs to go... guess I'm spoiled by push button starting.

Never understand the fascination and demand for the push button start. Was putting a key into an ignition all that much trouble? There are problems I've heard about regarding the push button start/fob: #1 many cases where car thieves intercept the signal and steal the cars easier and more often than ignitions with normal keys. #2 many cases where the batteries die in the fob and you can't even get in/out of the car much less start it #3 Many cases where folks have parked in their garage and thought the car was off only to have their house filled up with carbon monoxide and kill them. They fix a problem that did not exist.

So, with the the turbo engine in mind, would you still consider an Accord? I need to upgrade my vehicle badly. I currently drive an 05 accord with over 200,000 miles on it. @@sherrikwhiteside6107 Honestly, I wouldn’t. Honda engines when they had the normal 4 cylinders and V6s were just amazing. But now, not so much. Don’t get me wrong they are still reliable but not as reliable as they were. For me at least , I HATE these super small engines , they are loud when you need the power, they produce enough HP but you need to push them in order to get that and I don’t like that in a small engine. And don’t me get started on these CVT transmissions, I DONT like the feel nor the drive of these transmissions , I would prefer a normal geared transmission all day long. They just drive and feel way better than CVTs, at least in my experience.

Push button start is available but it is way over rated..With very inexpensive radio receiving equipment, the codes that are sent between the smart key fob and the steering column can be intercepted..Once this is done your vehicle can be stolen.. From a Security standpoint this is not a good thing.. In addition the vast majority of Push Button systems fail within the first 5 years...Average repair cost is over 1000..Also the smartkey battery only lasts 1-2 years, compared with 5 years for a standard key with pushbutton entry..The standard key has an extra level of protection with a chip called a key immobilizer..Even if a key is cut exactly to fit the ignition perfectly, it must still have the exact immobilizer chip in order to start the car.. From a Security and Practicality standpoint, I'd take the regular key every time

Initial acceleration on 4 cylinder Camry is still pathetic after 12 years and a safety hazard when you want to maneuver it to get out in emergency situation.

@@rantingcullinarian It's ok, it's hard to tell if a car is going to work out for us in the long run on just one test drive. It's why I hate buying new cars anymore so now I don't. Besides new cars are getting cheaper every year to cut costs.

new Toyota products are weird exterior designs that detract from the value. inside glitzy and smaller than could be. great engineering and build but no design class. and no front bumper! I will keep my '07 Camry LE V6.

Much more reliable and much longer lasting than Accord...Camry uses 2.5l Normally Aspirated engine vs Small Turbo in Accord...Accord slightly quicker but using turbo reduces long term engine life 50%. Camry uses 8 speed auto vs Accord using CVT...Advantage Camry.. Camry uses a Dual GDI/PORT injection system with no issues, whereas Accord uses straight GDI and is still having huge problems with unspent fuel getting into the oil pan DILLUTING the oil causing lubrication issues. Advantage Camry

Yeah . . NOPE. The previous model is much cooler, sleeker and elegant. The grill on the old one was like something out of a SCI-FI movie. It looked exotic and luxurious and it has those amazingly awesome front Fog Lights. This new front looks like every other asian car out there, nothing special to make it pop anymore. And those fat edges around the grill also makes it look plump now, they would have been ok if they were thinner. The sleek simplicity of the SCI-FI-looking previous model was what made it pop and really stand out among all brands. And that new screen is just so un-elegant. It looks like some ugly kind of cheap afterthought-repair. It just sticks up like they do in all those cheap crap cars. And it breaks the design flow of the front panel. You can totally see where the front vents is designed to supposed to be behind the new screen... so the front panel has a badly interrupted design-flow now, unsexy. The previous model was smooth and elegant, with every design line flowing harmonious and perfectly with each others. But not on this "new and better" model. Sad to see. Because the Camry is an absolutely awesome car in general. The previous model was just more elegant and exciting.
