Proper setup for a V6. A lot of people don’t like V6’s because majority of them actually come with unequal length headers giving them a lot of rasp and a not very clean tone. Good examples are the ford 3.5 V6s, GMs 3.8 V6 and dodges 3.6. All come with unequal length headers so they sound god awful. But as he showed in the beginning, the huge bend there is to all for an equal length header. And that’s what gives it such a good tone

Exactly, glad someone has the knowledge to know why there’s the difference and the cleaner tone. Most transverse mounted v6s sound raspy because of those unequal length headers which is what majority of transverse mounted fwd v6s have. I’m in love with this Camry I just totaled my 4 cylinder xse and I’m going to get the v6 with exhaust. They’re wonderful cars.

I had a Flowmaster FX on the 2.5L with a. Muffler delete. The rasp was still there at higher RPM’s and my passengers couldn’t hear me

@@thoughtsforyourlife2k98 The rasp will still be there regardless of what brand you use. The best depends on the taste. I find the FlowFx has a better tone than a Vibrant but to each is own.

Better sound than almost any VQ imo, not much aftermarket support for the 2gr unfortunately but for being stock they rip

Hell no vq are if not the best v6 sound , why do you think lots of vq guys do deletes . I have a v6 Audi so I’m not bias , I think it’s a waste straight piping v6 and 4 cylinder.

I’ve definitely heard good sounding vqs with the right setup but most people straight pipe, or muffler delete and it’s so generic sounding to me. And I am definitely biased but I think my Saab 9-3 and the Alfa gulia quadrapholgio have the best sounding v6 by far
