Love mine. Padel shifting in sport mode is impressive for a Corolla and its actually a little fun!

Just got the 22’ , let me say. I love this car. Purchased it for the gas ⛽️ mileage. I have a 2019 XTS and a 2021 Ford Explorer ST and I drive the Corolla the most. I promise you this car is fun and comfortable. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 and I’m 6’4. Still have room. Love it

Great review Alfred! I really enjoyed watching it! I've also been told that this new Corolla SE is more fun to drive than the new Camry SE so I thank you for confirming that at the end of your video. Even Joe Raiti from Raiti's Rides youtube channel said he preferred driving the Corolla over the Camry.

@Braeton Wilson Thanks for the support, I was pleasantly surprised to find I was driving something with personality. For pure acceleration the 4 cyl Camry and the 2.0 liter Corolla will trade blows all day. But the Corolla seems more eager. Even with almost 40 less hp, it’s still just as fast thanks to the snappy transmission. If you’re looking at both, the “more car for your money” saying doesn’t always translate into the right car for you.

I test drove a used 2021 Corolla SE and I have to say, the CVT felt like a traditional automatic transmission, even the fake shifting with the paddles was a bit of fun ngl 😅
@CrookedMustache4 ай бұрын
Yes exactly, that’s what I think a lot of people miss, the CVT here is an alternative to a dual clutch setup. The way this thing shifts compared to the same year Camry was night and Day. And It’s not like the cvts in Nissans that just sit at one RPM when you step on it while the car is accelerating

The suspension does a great job in corners with minimal body roll.

Love your style. It’s very unsalesman-tone, and lacks repetition. A lot of reviewers slip into this mode where it sounds like an infomercial where they repeat a lot of the same phrases like “you love to see that” every 10 seconds.

Well, I got a 2022 Toyota Corolla LE in Black Sand Pearl, almost two months ago, and I love it. I don’t see that much of a difference between the LE & SE tbh 🤷🏾♀️

Honestly the car is great, but this is my 3rd corolla. I’ve owned 2014,2016, and now a 2021 corolla, I wish I’ve chosen the Camry because the back seats is way to small, and I also notice some aesthetic problems such has my headliner having a crease, my right fog light having a big gap with some divet bends on the side, and my infotainment system screen when it boots up having a yellow hue one the corner of the screen. The only thing I guess that’s great is the mpg.

Admittedly I was as well, it would add value to the SE but maybe it’s linked to the digital dash in the XSE
@JonYugen3 жыл бұрын
@@CrookedMustache it's interesting because it is supposed to be the more upscaled version and yet it lacks some of the things I would consider "sport." It doesn't lack it all though I guess. I was able to get myself a lease on a blue crush metallic and damn is it a beautiful car.

2:57 ~ Unfortunately the flip side is, the monitor also blocks a tiny portion of the driver's line of sight in the center. While from a pragmatic point of view it's not even remotely a big deal, from a psychological perspective; it looks atrocious. It's as though Toyota is giving you a tablet bolted onto the dash. Quite frankly, one that is too tall for the dash. This isn't even a modern-day feature that car buyers are stuck with, as there are competing brands that have integrated such monitors seamlessly into their dashes without making it look as though they simply tacked them on onto a finished dash design. As though someone at Toyota goofed and they said, _"Screw it, customers will buy it anyway. Who cares if it sticks up above the dash."_ That's the sense that I get. Other brands that honestly can't compete with Toyota in overall quality and reliability can integrate their monitors seamlessly into their dashes on their vehicles. I have a very hard time believing that Toyota couldn't do so with _their_ offerings. I have to be honest. It's going to seem petty to most people, but I typically keep my personal vehicles for a decade if not longer. I can't stand looking at that monitor propped up like that on the dash. Style does matter, and that just looks ugly. I can't see myself climbing into my next car for 10 years and each time being greeted with *that.* A styling cue on the outside of a vehicle or the backseat area can be overlooked if the rest of the car is perfect. But not when it's something on the dash.

Just lift your seat up a little bit and you will not have this issue,and about the design-even the luxury brands are doing this so we have to accept it-liked ot not..

How are the seats for a big guy?
@CrookedMustache Жыл бұрын
Back seats are acceptable with the fronts in my seating position, and thanks to a complete coincidence, when I rented a “mid-size” car (the rep handed me the keys to an identical Red Corolla SE) it was great even after a long, all day stint behind the wheel.
