My uncle got a XLE with the premium screen and JBL sound system, as a rental from Toyota when he was getting his Camry XSE Hybrid serviced, and we took it on a road trip. IT WAS SO NICE. It felt sooo premium and the ride quality was very smooth and it felt very quiet and modern, mainly because it’s a hybrid but it’s also just a really nice suv. Me and my dad were shocked that it had the auto-power folding mirrors and memory seating, since we thought it was just a “regular Toyota”. The sound system was also incredible. It also earns a lot of bonus points because of how beautiful this thing looks at night. Since it’s all LED lighting, exterior and interior, when you walk up to it or unlock it it feels like a Lexus or Lincoln because of how everything lights up. Great car, my mom is thinking of getting a Limited now! 😁

Love this very informative video. Just purchased my Venza this past weekend after waiting months and being on a list for the Rav Hybrid plug-in. I got tired of waiting and stumbled onto the Venza while walking the Toyota lot. I chose the Venza Limited in the blueprint. So much happier with this and agree with your thoughts and review. Drove the Rav Limited after test driving the 2021 Venza, and there just wasn’t any comparison. The Rav does feel more like a truck and wasn’t as smooth of a ride.I fell in love with the comfort of the seat (lumbar) and how this will feel for a long drive. The styling is a bit more elegant and my speed, and not so boxy like the Rav.

I was actually quite a fan of the 2000s Venza, especially the decked out V6 AWD variants with their huge (at the time) wheels and tons of storage space. The interior design is also more Lexus than Toyota at the time as well. This new one is more SUV, but it does give a nice contrast to the somewhat squared off & truck like look of the current gen Rav4.

I don't feel that most auto makers are doing enough to reduce road and wind noise. Granted, road noise is somewhat dependent on the tires, but many "boomers" have hearing issues and even with hearing aids, road and noise are fatiguing. This looks like an interesting option for downsizing, but road noise is a non-starter. And, with all the additional technology, cars like this are lease-only, and then only for the duration of the warranty. Thanks for your regular updates on cars that most of us can actually afford, and thanks for driving on roads I am familiar with.

The Venza was a crossover with lots of power and sporty refined performance. The Rav4 was the more affordable family all around SUV that is practical. The Highlander is for those who wanted more space and if that 7 - 8 passenger seating isn't used its a much larger / more refined driving experience for the average family who wants very spacious ride. This generation Venza they took away the performance oriented driving and settled for the stereotypical fuel saving hybrid without going into a Turbo 4 cyclinder but being based on a Lexus RX series its going offer those comfortable ride that we expect from something like a Camry/Avalon.
